Asian kid is Kenny Ong, a young Ormond player who has been at Sandy for this season.

Sleep rooms sound awesome.
Players can just have a kip any time.
All workplaces should have them

Gershwin wrote:Really good 2 hour training session.
As I drove in I saw approx. 8 players on oval 2 - perhaps they were the rehab. group. Recognised Dempster.

The others started off with close handball drills. Appeared very sharp, lots of talking and encouragement. Good feeling to the session.
Then they broke into groups of 4-6 for kicking drills. All got together for transferring the ball from the backline to forward line - overlapping, going through the corridor etc.

Senior players then did 400 metre runs in groups of 6 clearly needing to complete in a certain time. Geary conspicuous by leading his group by a considerable margin although they all appeared to run well. Very noticeable that Savage couldn't keep up with his group and Montagna and Hayes gave him encouragement. A fitness guy chatted to him a couple of times.

Younger guys continued doing skill drills.

Noticed Peterson and the asian kid (very slight).

Particularly liked the look of Bruce. Good size, good skills. Could see him playing round 1 and the whole of the season.

Didn't see Siposs, Hickey, Stanley, Delaney. May have missed them or they were on oval 2.

Coach was low key. Fitness coaches kept going over to him to let him know what they had planned next.

Really encouraging session. Nice level of enthusiasm and committment.

Well I'm heading back to the cold of Glasgow on Sunday feeling pretty confident that we are on the right track.
Winter in Glasgow, Gershwin? That's a tough gig. Hopefully good news from Seaford will keep the spirit up.

You got that pretty right Gershwin. I'm glad you noticed a good feel within the group. It was very evident to me. Siposs and Stanley did a bit of boxing and swimming befor joining in with the rest. Gilbert I think will be very very important next year and his fitness levels looked extremely good. I think the fittest would have to be Jones. I reckon he feels he owes it to the group. What did you think of the U.S. Boy Holmes. Looks a bit of a natural to me.

I'm a bit concerned after seeing some of those photos. The new coach is seen gesturing to Farren Ray on a few photos (I know the photos may be out of context but it didn't look good) and is shaking hands with some of the guys obviously meeting them for the first time however I would have thought all the pleasantries would have been done in the change rooms.

And where is Roo?

Pretty sure I read that the team is meeting Roo in Colorado since he's already in the US?
