Statement from the President
Dear,
This afternoon I will be doing a media conference to announce the decision of the Board that Scott Watters will no longer be our coach.
I know this is a difficult day for Scott, and for many at our Club.
I became President of the Club on September 6th this year, and I am determined to see through the changes that our Board believes is necessary to build a stronger and better Club.
By the end of this month, we aim to have a new coach and a new CEO. In recent weeks there has been extensive work done on completing our vision to 2017 which we will be releasing shortly.
There has been a lot of change, and there will be more.
The great strength of this Club is the support and passion of you - our members - and I believe it is time for the leadership and management of the Club to step up and deliver a better, stronger, more disciplined and purposeful Club.
While it is a difficult day today, our future is looking positive.
We have great champions and leaders in our playing group, as well as new young players with energy and the ability to be our champions of the future.
The process of getting a new coach will begin today, and I will be working with Andrew Thompson, Football Director on our Board, and Head of Football, Chris Pelchen to oversee that process.
I want to say this about Scott. He came to our Club at a very difficult and challenging time. Few senior coaches have joined clubs at more difficult times than Scott, coming after the departure of Ross Lyon. Along with our football department, he invested in our young team, and he helped to commence the process of transitioning our list.
I want to thank him today for the commitment he has given to the Club, and we wish him well in his future career.
Thanks again for your ongoing passion and support.
Sincerely,
Peter Summers
President of St Kilda Football Club
Dont expect an announment yet on the new coach

Maybe... Today is the 1st November.markp wrote:"By the end of this month" to me suggests a seriously abridged 'process', and likely someone already lined up.
