Mark Williams

Post: # 1411845Post andrewg »

If Mark Williams replaces Scott Watters what can we expect? I am 50/50 on him. Not all the players at Port loved him as he was a hard task master but maybe that's what we need?

I love that he is happy to have a go at dick head reporters and always seems to stick up for his club. I love his emotion and tounge in cheek comments but can he coach?

I am leaning towards yes?

I said it in the other thread, a good man and family, very good coach. Must be a better option than Watters.

My mate who is heavily involved at the Tigers but not an insider reckons he has made a massive difference since arriving there. I don't mind old Chocco. He did take a team who were cored with SANFL players and ran on a minuscule budget and no AFL legs up to a flag.

probably one of the more underrated performances of a modern day coach. he got them to a GF again when they were totally past it too but isn't rated like some of the gun coaches. The reality is we are an under funded and limited club, he had success before with a similar club so go for it. Welcome Chocco.

Why would Choco leave the same role at Richmond to come to St Kilda?

Because he is a lunatic.

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

I hope we get Williams. I was hoping that we would get him after Lyon.

same could be said of Watters .. also feel Scotty could coach but didnt have the cattle ... i think politics got in the way with Scott and St Kilda

A Premiership Coach at his second club is generally very successful.

Why would Harvey want to come back to an assistant role at St Kilda?

He would get problems but little mentoring without a senior coach who has shown good past performance.

The trip back would only be for the Senior role but do we rate him as the best for the role currently. Maybe in 2 years but there are others who could make it.

Also interested in how long Micale will last (if he is not already gone)? He was also very successful in the West but that no recommendation nowadays, according to the club.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Classic. I like that song.
We have our slogan for 2014 if Choco is announced coach.
