We could do a lot worse. He'd be great with the kids, and is presumably someone the senior players would respect.mohannair wrote:Get Vossy as replacement.

I would have thought opposite considering most of Brisbane's young players were hell-bent on leaving Voss's side?SemperFidelis wrote:We could do a lot worse. He'd be great with the kids, and is presumably someone the senior players would respect.mohannair wrote:Get Vossy as replacement.

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
It's interesting, isn't it. Were they hell bent on leaving before the club sacked him before the end of the season and chaos ensued? I have no idea. Just wondering.dragit wrote:I would have thought opposite considering most of Brisbane's young players were hell-bent on leaving Voss's side?SemperFidelis wrote:We could do a lot worse. Rumour was that Voss and Jonathan Brown's old school ways didn't sit well with the generation Yers.SemperFidelis wrote:It's interesting, isn't it. Voss would be great. He could help us get the Fevolution down to Seaford.dragit wrote:

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
Laidley a loss. Well respected within the industry. Well liked and respected by the St Kilda players. Good relationship with Watters. Tactically astute (probably not SW's forte). The standout assistant coach at the club.
Will need to find a good replacement.

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
So what assistants would want to come to St Kilda considering the revolving door policy?
Who's left?

I'm really over it now. I retract my previous qualified enthusiasm!SaintPav wrote:They could package up Voss, Fev and Aka..cheap.FQF wrote:Voss would cost a bit
Who are other options? If we assume SW is in fact good with the kids, who do we want? The best possible game day tactician? Someone who makes the senior boys feel all warm and fuzzy? A former senior coach or another up and comer? Or will they pick someone who can take over if we don't win enough of the first 10 games?

If he was our midfield coach, then it is good that he moves on, as our midfield was woeful this season in every respect.Legendary wrote:Laidley a loss. Well respected within the industry. Re: Laidley to Carlton?
Good timing as Tudors gone...
I would still like to see the club appoint a more senior football person in a Mark Williams type to help Watters
Assistant wise - don't think Voss has it tactically
Look to Geelong or even Freo...
What else has Sydney got? Or Hawks
Get ruthless.

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
Thanks DL for you service, but I for one wont miss your sour miserable sole around our club! Look forward to see who the SAINTS can attract as a replacement. As another poster wisely stated doubt Scotty WATTERS will want anyone of too much quality around when his own position is shaky!
SAINTS another day older another day closer to the Holy Grail!
