I'm not sure Chips will be going after all. I think Bains said on radio yesterday afternoon that that was it for trading senior players.

So, if we have Delaney, Bruce, Curren, Savage, and we have potentially 4 picks within the first 25, that's 8 players in. I doubt if the Longer deal will be done, but he'd come in for a draft pick, so it'll even out.

So far, out are Dal Santo, McEvoy, Blake, Milne, Koschitzke, Lever, and Ledger. That would mean one more to go. The Saad situation complicates it, so the club may wait until the last moment on that one. Outside of Saad, I would say Dunell and Dennis-Lane would be the most in the firing line. Fisher could be an out, but as time goes by it's looking less likely.

Maister is really important in my view. He's strong and puts himself in the tough positions where he'll take the pummelling for the team, which saves Riewoldt and Lee from killing themselves. Maister is actually a pretty effective forward.

Maister certainly did and thats why he isnt going anywhere. Think TDL got a 2 year contract to begin with. maybe you are thinking of Milera.

I think resigning them was a way of stopping us raising the expected salaries of our kids so we don't get another Luke Ball situation and also giving us the option of retaining players on our terms before deciding there fate until after trades and drafting are completed. That way we see what we end up with before deciding.

It would be stupid to delist Maister then miss out on both Delaney and Bruce then need to get another tall in. If we got both those guys and Boyd there would be a glut and we would probably cut him and pay out his contract.

You do not sign a guy up 2 months ago for 2 years and then cut him. If we are going to cut players it will be guy in the final year of his contract.

I think Saad will have to go if he gets a suspension of any length but we'll probably put him on the rookie list. Dunnell and Ferguson would be the guys in most trouble. If we end up getting both Bruce and Delaney it's probably curtains for Ferg. Which would be a shame

I don't know about cutting Dunnell. He could still come good. He has shown a bit in patches during some of the senior games he has played.

Ahmed Saad is the "interesting" one in all of this. I think it was Pelchen who said that he thought/hoped the hearing would be pretty soon. We do have until List Lodgement 2 before we need to make this decision (Lets hope the hearing is before that).

I think that if he gets 12 weeks or less (I know, wishful thinking) he will stay on the list !!
