Armo and Gilbert to Gold Coast for pick #5
I've heard rumours about off field issues of Armo and Gilbert.. (Just a rumour)
And there has been some suggestion recently of Armo as trade bait..
If true would people entertain sending them back to QLD for Gold Coast's pick #5.
I personally think we desperately need to retain them, given they are quality players and in the right age bracket, but if they are part of our off field cultural issues - should we trade them and would pick 5 be sufficient?
With pick 3 and 5 we could potentially land 2 very promising juniors, say Aish and Billings or Aish and Scharenberg etc.. Some good names to build our next finals team around?!

That was rather quickly knocked on the head by our club. Doubtful!PurpleHayes wrote: And there has been some suggestion recently of Armo as trade bait..

Just a hypothetical Wellard... Mark Fine is paid to lift the ratings of a radio station, simple. I don't even listen to him - did he specifically mention Armo and Gilbert?WellardSaint wrote:PurpleHayes.

PH, I don't think that you are Mark Fine , however...
Unless either of them want to go... a definite no from me.
And if they did want to go, I would want more than just pick 5 from those Sons of Beaches! We would lose on that trade!
... begin by talking a deal that involves O'Meara you Beaches...
IMHO Armo' and Gilbo' are two very, very underrated players, both of whom we should keep!
It's Dave, man. Will you open up? I got the stuff with me! -------Who?

If there was a kingaroy or ipswich or gladstone side no doubt armo and gilbo would be heading there as well.

That would be and insane deal. We saw how important Gilbert was when he returned late in the season, and Armitage is our bulldozer around the stoppages.

Seriously there is a team called the Gladstone Mudcrabs
I heard a rumour that with the new LNG money they are making a huge bid for Gilbo and Armo and the 'go home' factor is strong.

Loved this one posted earlier in the Month on facebook.
Qld Saints
13 October.
Media outlets have confirmed, announcement to be made tomorrow. Due to heavy trading St Kilda now do not have enough players to field a team in season 2014. As we don't have a team, we now don't need coaches which will greatly reduce our expenses, new President Peter Summner announced, this will greatly free up our salary crap.
