If things are traveling so well, why is a high profile former captain calling high nett worth saints supporters including former board members asking for advise and support on getting involved to turn the club around.

Because we need cash and a CEO maybe?
Or are we going to run an auction for coach?

I'm pretty sure that SPUD would get plenty of support !!

If, IF, he is making calls to high nett worth types and former board members asking for advice and support, I don't have any doubt he'd be doing it with the imprimatur of the recently renewed board, in his capacity as the club's longest serving skipper.

I don't see Spud as the type who'd involve himself in ways that would damage his legacy. Nor do I see the chief of the Coach's Association working in the dark to undermine a contracted coach, in support of a group (however big) who won't even out themselves.

Plenty of clubs get past players with strong legacies to advocate for support. And, if he is asking for "advice" well that's just a usual part of advocacy.

If Spud's lobbying, I give that a tick for the board's willingness to cast a wide net and engage with as many people as possible.

Sorry if it didn't come across as I meant, but I believe that if SPUD did get involved, it would be FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS !!

I'd be hoping that Spud was advocating for a coach in his group who appears externally to be under pressure and ensuring he has support and an advocate

I hear part of the request was to get more paying guests on the Colorado trip... Costing the club a packet although I assumed winning the Virgin Australia comp would enable them to get the airfares for free?

Didn't doubt that, Eastern - might have to tidy up my own work, if you got the impression I had an impression.....oh you know what I mean.
