Well lenny is having a boy and in 18 years he will be a first round pick for the Saints. On top of that in the local footy league we have Jake Bowey winning the B&F in the under 11 in that comp. Obviously the son of brett. We have Kye Beveridge winning the division one coaches award in the under 15's. Son of Luke and finally Corey Lyons winning the best player in division one under 15 carnival. brother of jarryd. Mad saints supporters before jarryd was drafted.
The bad news is if any of them are good enough they dont qualify under the father and son rules.

Re: SMJFL
It would be nice to know how those kids who were at the club earlier this year as F/S went in their local comps. I think I remember that Frank Coughlan's younger son (15 or16?) was the most promising !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

I heard that Peter Freeman's boy goes alright. Haven't seen him myself though.
*Allegedly.

Were any of Frankie Peckett's boys in that lot? Given what their old man does for a living, discipline shouldn't be a problem !!

With our luck Matt maguire's future triplets will be the first siblings to tie for the brownlow and the norm smith medal in the same year. And lead brisbane to another threepeat.

Excuse the ignorance but how many games does it take nowadays to qualify for father/son or doesn't it work like that any more?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

100 games and then clubs bid. if no one bids you get them as a third rounder if you want them.

Re: SMJFL
I think Brett Voss's son Jackson made the Vic Primary School team this year.
Peter Freeman's son is a good player, but of course not eligible under father son, have seen him play at Mt Eliza.
