Interesting reference by Rooey to Ferguson - doesn't sound like someone soon to depart the club, which has me intrigued, I had him pencilled in as a potential departure.

Quick Bratty, shoot the links to Foiney. Clearly massive problems between Watty Squatters and the skipper. Incredible tension, lack of mutual respect and not relaxed at all. Obviously on completely different pages. Great fuel for Foiney.

Those interviews emphasised another thing - Rooey's from the smart end of the Riewoldt gene pool (and not a Bandido 'good bloke' accolade to be heard).

Debut from he'll amongst knee injuries.

I like the kid, reckon once we have a fullback he can shine better.

Agreed he has been a NSW Rookie for 3 years you would think if he is to stay on they would upgrade him? If that is the case we will have far too many of that type of player which will the trade period interesting. Wow Rooey is an impressive individual you can see how he drives the club and playing group to succeed !

i would like to keep him, but to be honest the club may not know who will stay and who will go. i think trade week will need to be finalized for that to happen

Most people have Jackson marked as “gone”, simply because he’s been around the place for a few years; didn’t impress in his debut and missed the latter part of the year while other youngsters were impressing.

However on the flip side the Saints saw enough in him to upgrade him to the Senior List during 2013 and maybe, like a few of us, didn’t read too much into the Kangas match where our entire Defence was under a barrage in the first quarter. He was dropped after that but then suffered an injury that ultimately ended his season.

So the club liked what they saw from 2008 when they first signed him up to June 2013. And that may just be enough to see him kept around in some form.

Who knows?

I loved the brand power style advertorial format. The filming the guy filming was a nice touch made you feel like you were being spruiked to in an informal manner. Only joking I thought it was well timed and good damage control with out looking spooked and unnecessarily making an issue.

Anyone else notice heck of a lot of love for Tom Curren in that interview from Roo and SW......

Looks like hes gone from 'cant get promoted' to 'Coaches pet' in about a 2 months...

Sounds like he is about to join Geary and Steven in the favourites corner :D :D

No mention of Ledger in the "young guys progressing" comments... hope he still makes it.

at the moment I'd rather this heading
Evenings with Tony Schibeci - Tuesday- 25-09-13

1. Craig Harper - Lifestyle and Fitness. 2. Russell Holmesby - Inside Football Grand Final Edition. 3. Matt Clayton - Motor Sport Update. 4. Robbie Kearns - Melbourne Storm loss to Newcastle Knights. 5. Tim Gossage - Fremantle Dockers Grand Final build up.
I like many by the sound of it had noted that Finey had ' gone off the boil' recently- must admit I don't listen as much as I used to....

Puts paid to the suggestion by some that the club would be happy to sell off any senior players with currency to bring in new talent. One of the strongest themes for me was the responsibility and centrality of the passing on of standards from senior players to younger players. There may be one or two who go but there is a clear understanding that the role of senior players on and off field is critical.

I am really looking forward to this years trade and draft period.
Let's hope we get it all done early, without any of the last minute rush.
Let's hope, but it will probably be just like every other year.
