Re: No Saints in AA side
Fair enough, we finished 16th with 5 wins. Didn't expect any different really
When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

Re: No Saints in AA side
Roo very unlucky with most marks in the league and a 50 goal season at centre half forward. Jack Steven could have easily been slotted in as well. I'm very cynical when it comes to these sorts of awards because essentially it's just based on people's opinions.....wish there was a more objective way of determining who makes the team.
May sound stupid but Supercoach / Dream Team scoring would be a lot more reliable to be honest.

Any emergencies in case there's a late out for some reason or do you just get an asterix around your name?maverick wrote:How did Jobe make it, how do Jack's numbers compare?

Re: No Saints in AA side
honestly i dont have an issue with no saints in the team , we prob didnt have any standouts who deserved it (Roo and Steven maybe but neither were walk up starts imo) the thing that gets me is only two Hawks and one Docker making the list ... to me the AA teams are to geelong loving and even sydney loving for my likeing ....

Re: No Saints in AA side
I can live with Roo not being selected. He had a great start to the year, but a real down patch from about the bye to Rd 18-19. Cloke had easily the most contested marks in the league, which has to rate as highly as anything I reckon.
As for Lloydy21 putting Goddard in his AA team He played about 3 genuinely really good games. One of them was against the GWS. He was serviceable all year without being fantastic.

That is harsh on BJ. He did exactly what he is paid the big bucks for. Heaps of touches and direction around the ground.Moods wrote:I can live with Roo not being selected. Roo was stiff as Cloke played Full Forward. Actually come to think of it, has Kieran Jack ever played half-forward?
Re: No Saints in AA side
Check out the raw numbers of Joey, Roo and Jack
They compare easily.... Riewoldt unlucky.... So was Kennedy if he wasn't in?
Was Kennedy from Sydney an in, Pyke, Fyfe, Hodge, Wells, Sloane, Goddard, a few tigers and others.... Some guns missed
Mackie, Enright?
We're they that good??

No. They just play for a sexy side. Give me Hodge before either of them 100 times out of 100. Surprised Corey and Hawkins didn't get in.BigMart wrote:Check out the raw numbers of Joey, Roo and Jack
