Re: Dusty
OK in the first half today, very quiet in the second. Only 19 touches for the day, 58% efficiency isn't great. Kicked a good goal but only two clearances, two tackles, seven contested possessions. In a big final that's not great for a 22 year old with 80+ games under his belt.
Make no mistake, he's a good player - but he definitely isn't the saviour some are painting him as. Cotchin's twice the player and by all accounts twice the person as well.

Another reason to hate Cousins
Dumbest analogy I think I have ever read
hate him as a footballer FFS, have never met him personally.
However some people (who carry on about morals and our clubs culture BTW) wanted this addled ice addict down at our club influencing our young players.
Can you believe it?
Lance or James??

That must be sort of awkward in a "my mum says I'm not allowed to play with you any more " sort of way.plugger66 wrote:Dont think we will be seeing Dusty with us. A few players were told not to see him in the off season or those players will be off.

I'm glad, while he's apparently not a bad bloke, he has some habits that will only lead to trouble for him and those around him.plugger66 wrote:Dont think we will be seeing Dusty with us. A few players were told not to see him in the off season or those players will be off.

Re: Dusty
If we are going to take a punt on a player with questions over his extra curricular activities, why not Dayle Garlett instead of Martin? Will cost way less and not as much of a loss if he's turns out to be no good.
I'd rather save my bickies and go hard at bryce Gibbs in free agency at the end of next year, will be 26 at start of 2015 season.

Re: Dusty
Ben Cousins had a poor attitude to his footy
Lazy, unfit, not that effective, not that successful.... Took drugs like Michael Gardiner and 10% or 50 other afl players....
He was the highest profile player though.... Where did his profile come from?!
Footy culture of successful performance.... Not sure BC was light on there.... What didn't he win???

Re: Dusty
He didn't just "take" drugs. he was an ice addict and if the stories are true about how he influenced the kids at Richmond, only a fool with no moral compass would want a confessed drug addict at the club.BigMart wrote:Ben Cousins had a poor attitude to his footy

Ben Cousins was a cancer and who knows if his bad influence has held back the development of young Tigers players.
Certainly questions should be asked about after their loss the wisdom of bringing in such a disruptive and drug addled person.
No wonder I dislike going to the football when we have supporters encouraging drug users at our club.
Oh and Michael Gardiner would be very please for you to call him an ice addict. Is that what you are saying? Are you seriously accusing Gardiner of the same addiction as Cousins?
Really? My goodness you will do anything to try and boost your argument.
Cant believe you support drugs at football clubs.
Disgraceful

Re: Dusty
with Dusty demanding a higher wage
whilst being asked to explain his sign language at the weekend
it is revealed that the Tigers have asked/ put to Ken Wood at the AFL that part of the package they wish to offer be outside the salary cap as he is " mentoring" some of the younger tigers........
mentoring in what?
