A Midfield With........

Post: # 1382715Post CURLY »

How far do people think a midfield group consisting of the players below get us going forward?

Steven
Armitage
Curran
Ross
Ledger
Saunders
Newnes

Wright and Webster I believe will also run through the middle but the above group are all pure midfielders.

Armo is so close to a gun, his numbers don't look great but he does some amazing stuff on the field. Jack is already a gun. Curren and Ledge are already solid and then the rest are all showing heaps but only time can tell you how far they could go. Minchington and maybe even Markworth might be capable in there too. Geary could be a mid too he is getting midfiled numbers in the Gram rebound role.

I support Norwood over here in Adelaide so am well aware of the talents of James Aish & Trent Dumont. Aish is a gun just appears to have so much time to do things. Don't think the increased pace of AFL will phase him. However, Dumont's last 3 weeks have been fantastic at senior level. This guy may get to pick 20(I hope) and would love to grab him. Ready made inside mid who can also play as outside receiver. I know I'm biased being a Redleg supporter but think these two are the two best SA mids in this years draft.

Im not completely sold on Seb Ross just yet but we are going ok.
Steven is a dead set gun for the next 5 years and Curren is good. Saunders nice to have breaking the lines.
James Aish would be nice and in my dreams Markworth becomes like Fyfe!

Ross will make us a better side his in close work is excellent and distributes the ball out very well

I like what he's been able to do this year, a few 20 + games and shows something in tight. He's gone past where I expected him to be at this stage.

I liked Seb Ross's game again yesterday and he looks every bit like he deserves his spot. I think his inside work will only get better and his poise is what makes him a valuable asset to the midfield.

Sebby doesn't like to waste disposals.....maybe that's why SW rated him highly after he'd played just a handful of games;
