Damian Barrett & Luke Darcy

Post: # 1381759Post WinnersOnly »

http://www.afl.com.au/video/2013-08-29/ ... -it-around

If you watch their review of the Saints and looking at 2014 you would think we were about to leave the competition. Apart from praising a couple of players for their efforts this year I have never heard a more negative summary of a clubs outlook. What a pair of spankers how do they get jobs in the media? Once again they quoted the Milera/Saad & Lee/Hickey trades as those picks alone they are the most misguided, ill informed pair of dimwits ever to sit in front a TV camera !

Barrett to finish is discussing our need for a Full Back and suggests we throw everything at Tate Pears of Bombers who is more of a flanker than a key position player. Then goes on to discuss James Frawley and finishes with why would he (Frawley) leave one BAD club to go to another. He needs some strong correcting that man 'what a tossa'!

Yeah. Let's throw everything at Tate Pears, who is more of a flanker than a key position player and who may have to take a two year holiday in the future.

To quote Darce "Say that again!"

I keep repeating myself on this but I don't give a tinker's tossbag: Darcehole was one of the softest 'players' in Afl/Vfl history.

I am so f****** glad he never got the chance to play in a GF, let alone win some. An arrogant flog

Wouldn't Pears have a massive ? hanging over his head in the form of possible Infraction Notice. I'd be staying well clear of any player who was at Essendon in 2012 unless I had a guarantee from the AFL !!

Indeed, I think it would be highly irresponsible for any other club to trade with Essendon considering 38 ogf their players have been administered with the banned drug AOD9604.

I reckon Port will be pissed off when Monfries is rubbed out.

Keep away - dont even consider it.

Now this won't happen of course. BUT, what would be the outcome if Port won the flag this year, with Monfries playing and then later on he did get done with the ASADA/WADA thingy?

Bueller? Anyone?

Simple, Doc...Monfries would hand back his flag medal at the same time Watson would give back the Brownlow. Tird should give back his Anzac Day medals too - make Mark McGough a retrospective triple Anzac Day medal winner!!! Lol

I just tweeted Barrett.

I thought Dermot was a bit patronising towards us this morning when the SEN nerd asked him if it was important to play Kosi.

He said that successful clubs would not worry about milestones games but given our history he should play.

PIGS ARSE.

If we were shooting for top 4/finals from 08-11 or whatever Lyon would not have worried one bid about milestone games and so he shouldn't have.

Kosi is only getting a games because we are not contending and Clarkson would have probably done the same with someone like Ben Dixon when they were struggling.

I guess it was just a coincidence that Kelvin Moore played a handful of games in 1984 including the last two of the home and away and finished on 300. Then he didn't play any finals.

I dont think it was too bad but think we need someone better than tate pears.

But if we trade away picks 3 or 20 ill spew.

ill only consider pick 20 for a proven gun under 23 and dont like our chances of that.

I wish I could edit my posts.

Josh Fraser played Round 22 2010 for his 200th game for Collingwood. Just a coincidence that he hadn't played for 10 weeks and didn't play in the finals.
Gary Foulds 1989, played his 300th in Round 21 and didn't play again including finals.

Most footy commentators i heard have been banging on about how important it is to play kosi to show the young guys about loyalty and culture etc etc etc and how it would be a disgrace if he didn't play etc etc.

Im sure there are tons of examples of farewell & milestone games by strong clubs.

What worries me is that every other club will have looked at our handling of picks 12 & 13 last year and think they can pull one over us. I expect that we will field a lot of offers for picks 3 & 20. I reckon the club will hold pick 3 but am somewhat concerned we may try and take a punt on trading pick 20 for an average defender to appease the public perception of our deficiencies whilst thinking that we will probably get picks 2 & 20 in 2014 as well which is supposedly a stronger draft pool.

I Will also spew big time if pick 20 is traded for anything less than a lopsided trade win for the saints.

Brereton is a flog, great player but in my opinion has been rubbish as a commentator. A hindsight specialist. A man who uses 20 words when 6 would do, an effort to sound intelligent whilst describing the bleeding obvious. There's a reason no club has seriously tried to woo him as a coach!

Brereton was a crap player in his last 3 years, his final year at Hawthorn he was a sniper, his year at Sydney was a disgrace and his time at Collingwood an embarrassment.

That's how I remember the flog, and, he hardly ever talks about his family, why is that...

The part that pissed me off the most was Darcehole saying the club needed to abandon Seaford because the players and everyone else hated it and we should immediately return to Moorabbin and do a deal with the council.

This guy has no farking idea. Why would the club waste the tens of millions it cost to set up Seaford? Not only that but the reason the club is there in the first place id because the council wouldnt deal with the club. Apart from that how in the blue hell would he know all the players hate it? The guy is a complete flog

What are you talking about? We got 2 quality young players in Lee and Hickey and at the same time secured two low twenty picks that yielded another two promising players. Anyone who thinks we payed overs is a fool.

Why should I be in marketing? My question is why do you continue to lie when you dont like my posts.

Now lets look at frawley like grownups and please Gringo dont let you son use your nick. Its the only reason I can come up with your childish replies. Frawley has a year to go on his contract firstly so unless Melbourne want to get rid of him we cant get him. Simple. And if they do want to get rid of him what whould we have to pay based on what WCE wanted for Brown. They didnt accept 2 picks in the 20's for a guy who had averaged less than 10 games a year. Frawley has been AA and is still young. They would want pick 3. Do you think we should do that? Now money. Well melbourne dont need to worry about matching any offer because he has a contract but I would be pretty sure they would. We are also going to be no better than melbourne in the next couple of years. Then you use other players as an example of players going to bottom sides. Every single one you used had already won a flag apart G who wanted to gho home. Im sure the money didnt hurt. We also had Blight as coach. Would we have got him with Watson as coach. I think its doubtful. So there you go. They are the reason I think Frawley is no hope. I hope you reply and not your son.
