Minchington v Ledger !!
Ledger is on the primary list. Minchington leap frogs over him from the rookie list and into the seniors. I liked a bit of what I saw from Minchington tonight. Which one has the brighter future? !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Can see why the coach likes him.
Nuggety and goes hard but nice kicking skills and clean hands.

Seeing as most people think Ledger has no future then the winner must be Minchington, even if by default.

Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
Being December born, from an age perspective, Minchington can be compared with 1st year recruits.
So he is going nicely... Needs to string more games together, he seems to have had several injuries...

Minchingtin ..... Small fwd and occasional mid .... 12-15 ppg in the VFL
Ledger ..... Inside mid ..... 25-30 ppg in the VFL

Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
If we're comparing the two, I'd take 15 from Minchington over 30 from Ledger.
I don't dislike Ledger - but Minchington is easily the more damaging footballer.

Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
I'd say Ledger is the far more damaging player in the VFL on weight of numbers alone... Clearances alone would make him better... He is a prime mover
But at AFL level Minchington fits in better as a flanker, secondary role player as his effect per possession is probably better
Darren is talanted imo

ledger has many issues that are stopping him from getting a call up
Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
What are those issues?
Confirmed or a belief??
Quite frankly, I'd like to know the truth! On evidence, it's head scratcher..

Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
I just wish we could take the "ball magnetism" from Ledger and put it in Minchy and Sippo.

Ever since our "new recruit" MarkMcGough was sold as a "ball magnet", the term has lost a bit of lustre for meKickit wrote:I just wish we could take the "ball magnetism" from Ledger and put it in Minchy and Sippo.

Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
It's a bit hard to make a judgement on Ledger unless Watters gives him a game in the seniors, and I see no real reason not give him a game as he seems to be putting good efforts in at Sandy. Maybe the incredible match-winning midfield we have is just too hard to break into?
Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
The likely retirement of Milne, injury prone Schnieder and delisting or at least longterm suspension of Saad should see Minchington upgraded to the senior list.

Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
simply put he doesnt have the tank to be in the seniors he has gone backwards in his fitness and that is what is holding him thats what i have been told ... really as a third year player he shouldnt be having fitness issues so thats why i think he might be back at claremont next yearMiddo wrote:defacto wrote:minchington by a mileEastern wrote:Ledger is on the primary list. Re: Minchington v Ledger !!
His tank seems to get him to a lot more contests in the VFL than his contemporaries??
But not a game in front of them
Standing next to him, he looks lean, trim and fit?
Can assure you that he has,Siposs, Murdoch, Webster, Minchington covered for endurance
I reckon attitude must be his issue..... Cayden Bethany style
Can also assure you that he can definitely play... Absolutely
