Viv Michie
Has just hurt his knee (not an acl)… but has been playing very good footy in the WAFL (you picking up what I'm puttin' down)
Can't get a game at freo,
Out of contract, from Vic.
Could we try and get Ledger over to Freo in a deal maybe?

Well K, you referred to Minchington as "Michy" in that other thread, so what the hell are you going to call this guy if we get him?SainterK wrote:It's a great name for a footballer, so for that reason alone...

Re: Viv Michie
I doubt Fremantle would do that deal, although Ross seemed pretty impressed with the Ledge a couple of years ago. Michie is a decent prospect though. Would be handy if we could snare him, Roberton-style.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Yeah, I guess Ledger wouldn't have much currency… I wish they'd give him a few games even if they don't like his attitude… could give us a chance at getting something for him.White Winmar wrote:I doubt Fremantle would do that deal, although Ross seemed pretty impressed with the Ledge a couple of years ago. They were taken in the same draft Michie #44 - played 1 game, Ledger #59 - played 2 games.
Maybe a pick downgrade and Ledger if Rosco was interested…
Someone get in Viv's ear… he probably just wants opportunity, he'd surely get that with us…
We should have tried harder to get Koby Stevens for Cripps I reckon.

Re: Viv Michie
Michie only played 1 game and is 2 months older than Ledger.
Both return home factors.
15 diff in draft aint a lot.
Sounds like a fair deal for me.

I would think both will be delisted. well Ledger will you would think so i have no idea wh they would trade if they have any interest at all which is probably doubtful.

cos they have big hearts and dont want to hurt their players feelings!
being traded is much better for the ego than being dumped and re-drafted
Re: Viv Michie
viv michie has been offered another contract by freo apparently
can see him walking. ledger on the other hand, i'm not sure there will be any clubs interested
ledger for viv wouldnt be a bad swap

Re: Viv Michie
Definitely has been injury prone - otherwise he's AFL standard IMO & could actually be quite a good footballer.

'Injury prone' doesn't sound good!
Ledger? I'd like to see more. Don't know how u could compare these 2 as they are still waiting to get off the ground.
Both Ledger and Michie could have more opportunity @ St.K. than freeo and WC - hard to deal with aren't they?
GO S A I N T S !

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.
