Curren might get a spot in 2014
TC tonight had 20 touches, 11 contested, at 80% disposal efficiency. 3 tackles, 4 clearances. Missed a couple of shots at goal that would have been the icing on the cake, but I reckon there's some chance that he might build into a solid contributor through the middle.
Give him a contract for next year? Or give him the final three games to prove it isn't a one off?

For a player with his lack of experience and age he's been very good over the last fortnight. I reckon he's on the cusp of being elevated to the senior list in this years draft.

I'd take him over CJ… at ten years younger, has a lot more potential for improvement.
Pretty promising start to his career in some a team getting belted.

What's all this might talk? The kid is 20 and been outstanding is better then Jack at the same age both have similar attributes.

Oh definitely not a one off! Curran is as dedicated as they come. He's heating up quickly.
Amazing how ripped he is, yet dwarfed compared to the Hawks midfield.
Great kid.

Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

Best thing about him is that he was still running at the end and he was still competing.

Always been mentioned as one of our best trainers. His attitude is the reason he'll make it.Hemi Baxter wrote:Best thing about him is that he was still running at the end and he was still competing.

He went ok. My guess is he will be a GOP at best in a bottom side. No problems keeping him.

Rather harsh there on TC.plugger66 wrote:He went ok. My guess is he will be a GOP at best in a bottom side. No problems keeping him.
For a fourth gamer, he looked the goods with a decent inside and outside game plus can only get better.

He's going with the "you get out if it, what you put into it" mantra

You still are not reading what Hallalj#3 said properly. He is comparing Curren to Jack's form when he was a 20yo. Jack is proven now yes, but wasn't at 20yo either.

Re: Curren might get a spot in 2014
Jack would've been significantly further advanced if it weren't for RL, who put games into mediocre players like McQualter and Eddy.
TC looked good last night, loved his attack on the ball and the player.
Will definitely get an upgrade in 2014.

Dont see what that has to do with anything but I reckon its wrong anyway. Jack basically won is a game against Geelong in his 4th game.
Re: Curren might get a spot in 2014
And the fact we kept the goalless the entire second half had nothing to do wit it..plugger66 wrote:Hallalj#3 wrote:What's all this might talk? The kid is 20 and been outstanding is better then Jack at the same age both have similar attributes.

Tommy Curren has something and I for 1 think he's on track to be V. Good just like I thought Jack was going to be V good..

Re: Curren might get a spot in 2014
think no one is debating that, but i still think Jack showed more early... i remember a game against the Filth.... one of his early ones... he blew them apart grumpy Mick was also unsure where the hell Jack came from.Hallalj#3 wrote:And the fact we kept the goalless the entire second half had nothing to do wit it..plugger66 wrote:Hallalj#3 wrote:What's all this might talk? Curren is a different type of player to jack and shouldn't be compared... that's my opinion. Curren is really promising atm and could be another Luke Ball yes I have done it sorry. I like him and think he's got massive upside... in the cats game he didn't have a great one but last night he stood out. it was great. Beauty about Curren is he's pre built solid strong guy already. Few preseaons under his belt look out!

Good against Port too when the game was hot. Deserves a spot for mine. Good luck Tom.

I dont even understand what you are talking about. Can you explain? All im saying is jack showed plenty early on and curren isnt better than Jack was early on. And even if he was it means Jack. Like all players who are young he needs to improve and I hope like hell he does.
