Re: Round 20 Team v Hawthorn
How many calling for Ledge to come in have watched him play live?
I haven't.
From what I have seen on TV, it's a no from me.
Anyone watched him live want him in, and why?
Interested.

Shenton is unlucky also
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
Re: Round 20 Team v Hawthorn
No Schneiderman, Seb Ross, Ledger or Shenton?
Shenton just needs to keep doing what he currently is and he'll get a crack. Keep applying pressure and he'll force his way in, spewing he's not in this week though.

Id play him from what I've seen but obviously Im not privy to what he's been asked to do from the club. Im hoping for his sake there building him up over a couple of seasons to a AFL mid fielder.

Im hoping we are not keeping another guy who struggles to get games on top of Maister and Milera.

Re: Round 20 Team v Hawthorn
Strange Schneider not in. Even if hammy a bit suss - what the heck. Nearly end of season anyway. And who rucks with Big Boy. Blake? Why isn't Tom Hickey in? And is Saad really injured? Saw game live in Brisbane and it was onvious Stanly was injured. Never any talk that Saad, Siposs and Simpkin were injured.

He played four AFL games last year and two the year before, I reckon I saw all of them live (though I may have missed one, can't remember exactly). At the time he looked like a small mid who was a bit panicky when he got the ball. Found a little bit of it though and could kick a goal.maverick wrote:How many calling for Ledge to come in have watched him play live?

I want him in the side because we have to make a decision on him this year. If the powers that be have already decided that he's gone then fair enough - but it seems a dangerous call to make given that he hasn't played an AFL game all year. If we give him four games and he does nothing then we're forgiven for dumping him, but if we don't play him, dump him and then someone else picks him up and becomes a reasonable player then that's just wasteful.

Re: Round 20 Team v Hawthorn
Lots of comments from ppl who say they've seen the Ledge.
Gets a lot of the ball, but wasteful, misses targets, picks wrong option, kicks out of bounds, etc.
Apparently.
He's a Perth boy so SW should be lookin after him, therefore he must be below par.

Re: Round 20 Team v Hawthorn
If there's one team I really hate in the comp, it's bloody Hawthorn! Can't we just play dirty and send them limping off the field tonight? their smugness makes me ill! I hope we can give them a scare...but I'm expecting an absolute beating!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

So you hate the Hawks more than the Swines who are gifted an extra mil in the cap and Freo with scumbag Lyon?St. Luke wrote:If there's one team I really hate in the comp, it's bloody Hawthorn! Murdoch played as a half forward and even in defence when he came in.
Saunders hasn't had much time in the middle at all.
CJ is a tagger so definitely not
Maybe Ray.
But I do ask, which weeks when Ray or even Saunders played did Ledger play better to deserve this chance.

Re: Round 20 Team v Hawthorn
I've seen Ledger play live and he should be in the seniors by now, probably in place of Saunders who is still developing- we're not talking about trying to break into a winning top four team. Also thought Dunnell should be playing the year out in the seniors- too good for VFL.

Re: Round 20 Team v Hawthorn
I actually like how we match up v the hawks.
With buddy out, can think of a suitable matchup for each of their forwards now.

If we get within 60 points it will be a good effort.

Who will Lake match up on?
We don't really have an obvious choice. Hickey?

Centrebet paying 2.10 for Hawks by 60 or more. You should get on it.plugger66 wrote:SainterK wrote:I actually like how we match up v the hawks.

I remember a game in 2009 when all the money went on Hawthorn. It was a good day.
