Letting the cats own the corridor - we go round the boundary then turn it over, leaving them a free run down the middle. We'd be better going through the corridor more ourselves. At least if we turn it over, then it's not so easy for them to come straight back down the middle 'cos that's where our players already are. Our backs have a better chance to compete with the monster forwards when they aren't just being out-muscled all the time. Who knows, maybe there passes might miss the target occasionally, too.

Watters' persistence with Stanley as a defender is some of the poorest coaching I've ever seen. Letting Mackie roam loose in our 50 has worked a treat too. Skill errors have been awful but Watters needs to at least set the team up properly.

Same old story- midfield went missing, McEvoy can barely get a touch even with Geelong's main ruck subbed out. Siposs lazy, doesn't chase hard enough, don't know why he was picked ahead of Dunnell. Stanley so loose he can't even get close enough to punch the ball in marking contests, and for a 200cm player, doesn't have a clue how use his body in contests at all. No forward line. I hope Gwilt isn't too badly injured. Experienced players not running hard enough, and all need to lift their games in the second half. If I see another Saints game where 4 or 5 opposition players are loose in the midfield raffling the ball, I'll spit the dummy. I am totally convinced Watters doesn't value defensive footy.
