given known factors- who we play and where they are on the ladder
where they need to travel from
and their ladder position in light of other finalists

Does 1.10 Saturday afternoon sound obvious? August 31st
Opposition being Freemantle- in 8 maybe top 4 But not top 2
them needing to fly home.

I bet they'll rest plenty if their ladder position can't change, especially if they'll have to fly back the next week for a final.

Will we be having a giant farewell?

That would make it 2 day games in Melbourne for the season. Absurd.

Most likely it will be twilight. Still allows Freo to fly home that night and helps with ratings on TV, as a 2.40pm WST is far preferable to 11.10am or 12.10pm

Reckon 2:10 Sat afternoon. Be a great match I reckon. Maybe not a spectacle, but if it is Kosi, Blake, Milne and Lenny's farewell, I expect a stirring win.

Essendon Richmond should be on Fri night and the Pies game should be on Saturday. They can then play 6 games on the Saturday. Possibly two twilight games utilising 2 Foxtel channels.
