it's the weird hair. He's an odd looking fella General Lee as was Luff
Reminds me of Owen Wilson.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)
Then again, that old little guy who sings the theme song with the Swans after games reminds me of the old white haired people that used to sit behind the goals at the SCG when they were crap. Weird.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.

He is one of those guys isn't he?

Where's all the baggers now??
I'll put my hand up and say I was very critical of him. Early in the year he was consistently dropping easy marks, getting worked out of the contest and missing shots on goal. He still needs to work on those things but he makes great position, presents well and can take a contested grab.
Get another pre season into him and build his confidence and he could be a 40 goal forward for us next year. No idea what level he'll reach in the long run but he does look like he'll at least be a solid target post-Riewoldt.
b) sainternist, going by your avatar you have taste in comedy and should not be referencing such a poor skit show.
c) tommy lee is showing early signs that he could be a gun FF. so happy to be a saints fan tight now.
love watching the new guys coming through as much as i love our recent domination.

I think abit early on Lee.
The guy he played on has had some very big bags kiicked on him this season in the VFL , including six by Khan Haretuku a month ago.
I'm not sure Tommy will ever be able to hold down the #1 forward spot so how good/productive he can be will depend greatly on who the club can place around him. Hopefully he'll start to develop into a player similar to Jack Gunston (who benefits massively from being the 3rd tall surrounded by Buddy & Roughy).
We're all reasonably excited about Big Spence & hopefully he can be that match winner who can take the best defender. Where Rhys fits in I'm not sure as I'm firmly in the camp that sees him as a true ruck/forward swingman.
IMO the possibility to trade up to pick #1 & take Boyd is very very tempting. Having three vastly different key forward to build the next generation around is mouth watering.
Lee- the lead up, athletic forward who can kick the odd spectacular goal.
White- the free wheeling, big marking forward who can turn a match in minutes.
Boyd- the (eventual) pack crashing, long kicking & strong marking forward ala Hawkins.
Gee it really makes a blockbuster trade very enticing....

True but the Dockers have the #1 Defence in the comp and he scored against them the previous week.
I am fairly sure he was carrying injuries in the first half the year.
Get on him!

I said a bit was given up for him, and then we were told even though he was mature age, we had to wait awhile
Not that much was given as we gained one player and 2 picks for one pick.
No.12, to the Giants in return for Lee and picks 24 and 43.
Lee was rated by some known pundits as top 20.
So effectively Pelchen multiplied what was gained.....or another way of looking at it is that by gaining 3 players (Lee, Wright and Saunders)than just one that we had thrice the chance that one would make it.
As it stands at present all three look like making it. Wright looks to be a good player.

Didn't know he was so highly rated.
Who had him top 20?
Not saying you're lying, just never heard that kind of hype about him personally.
I guess long term we'll see how the picks around #12 turn out.

From memory I think Terry Wallace had him going at pick 11 to Carlton in the TAC Cup Future Stars Mock Draft....Wallace is no draft expert but Shifter Sheehan is a regular on the show & would certainly be a source of info to the numpties like Wallace & Hutchy.
spot on wrote:Pick 12 for lee , wright and I think Murdock is looking pretty good now. That would shut dwyane Russell up now
lost Goddard compo and our 1st round pick (picks 12 & 13), and picks 37 & 57
gained:
Lee
Pick 24 - wright
Pick 43 - can't figure out what happened to this pick
Hickey
Pick 26 (25 due to the crows) - white (upgraded pick from 37)
Pick 47 - traded for TDL (upgraded pick from 57)
Also lost cripps & 46
Gained:
Pick 41 (40) - Murdoch
Pick 44 (43) - Saunders
On September 23, 2012, the TAC Cup Future Stars panel (including Kevin Sheehan, Terry Wallace and Ben Dixon) chose their phantom first round selections for the 2012 AFL draft.
Their predictions cover at least one selection from each side, with Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs both having priority and additional selections.
21 - Jake Stringer (actually went 5)
20 - Jesse Lonergan (13)
19 - Troy Menzel (11)
18 - James Stewart (27)
17 - Josh Simpson (17)
16 - Tim Membrey (46 - the pick we gave Sydney for TDL!)
15 - Nick Vlastuin (9)
14 - Dayle Garlett (not drafted)
13 - Nathan Hrovat (21)
12 - Jackson Macrae (6)
11 - Tom Lee (traded along with picks #24, #43 by GWS to St Kilda)
10 - Joe Daniher (10)
9 - Lachie Plowman (3)
8 - Kristian Jaksch (12)
7 - Oliver Wines (7)
6 - Sam Mayes (8)
5 - Jonathon O'Rourke (2)
4 - Brodie Grundy (18)
3 - Jack Viney (26)
2 - Jimmy Toumpas (4)
1- Lachie Whitfield (1)
(My additions in brackets after the name)
Their mock draft was pretty accurate - 17 of their picks did indeed go in the first round. Of those that did not, one was Viney (Melb f/s) who was in the final wash-up thought to probably be worth more than #26 but not as much as #3. Another was Garlett (who again was overlooked due to reasons other than his talent). Tim Membrey was the real slider.
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...

Lee was in the phantom draft in one of the papers going to Carlton with their first pick at 9. He was hot property after WAFL form and a great Foxtel cup series. Jaksche should be a player but we don't know if it's Mitch Brown or Jeremy Cameron.
Wrighty is the most exciting recruit IMO and I rate Saunders as well. Both quick and good decision makers with clean skills.
