Re: Lynch on fire!!!
I'm wondering why he's blossomed so quickly away from our club. I realise he's been in the system a few years, etc, etc, but really he wasn't showing anything, but presto, this season he's looks like he's meant to be at this level.
Is he a South Oz boy, and gone home ?
Were we impatient and should've given him another season ?
Why, anyone got an answer ?
PS. This poster is happy with Newnes to, but on form, Lynch would romp it in our best 22 this season.

Re: Lynch on fire!!!
When we pass the ball into the forward line it goes to roo as he demands it. So its hard for 3rd talls to have an impact in our side. I doubt Lynch would have the same impact if tex was still in.

He wanted to go. Most likely because he wasn't getting a go. It happens.Stephen Theodore wrote:I'm wondering why he's blossomed so quickly away from our club. He wouldn't be doing as well with us as our midfield isn't as good.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.

Re: Lynch on fire!!!
Good on him. But clearly we made a mistake trading him now. Looks a great 3rd tall toward. Must at admit a was happy for pick 37 or whatever it was when he left

Re: Lynch on fire!!!
Shows why we should keep Ledger next year, IMO. We have plenty older guys we can delist so we will still add plenty of youngsters in this draft.
Many players blossom at age 22-23.

Re: Lynch on fire!!!
Didn't he have health issues?
A little patience perhaps...
Sanderson saw something in him.
Still, you'd have to wonder if Tippett hadn't gone and Walker hadn't of got injured.
Somehow I think I remember the damage was done, he was off before Scott came?

Anyhow it was not Lyon's or Watter''s call anyway.
Pelchen would have made the call.

Sandy kid.
Disgrace he is gone .
Great how kosi had a good year in 09 got a 4 year contract and wasted our time space and money ever since.
Great team man though. Good teacher. Really helps out with drinking games and talking xxx about farming .
You know better to be loyal to some overpaid clydesdale than give a hand up to a young guy hey.

Re: Lynch on fire!!!
Tom lynch really feels good about the saints because of their loyalty to our older players .
I mean if we don't let out older guys play for as long as they want it sends a bad message to younger players.
For instance p66 we can send a postive message to jimmy Webster by de listing Tom simpkin and giving chips a new contract .
Hope that warms your heart Jimmy !

Re: Lynch on fire!!!
it's pretty obvious...
he didn't dominate the VFL and therefore wasn't worthy of playing more than 2 games in a row at AFL (despite reasonable performances), and is clearly no good and never did anything that suggested he was.
Therefore he won't make it and the club is right... we're terrible drafters and it had nothing to do with our development
there's 2 years of righteousness paraphrased that sums up select attitudes of the time
PS I also like Newnes
