So he comes in for who? It will be a rubbish selection if it actually happens.

Right now I'd like to argue with anyone that disagrees that Clint Jones is BOG today by a long stretch.

Probably right but he runs. Kosi only runs when he has the s***s.
Re: Hickey & Lee...Inspired Selections
Considering I only heard bits and pieces on the radio and saw the last qtr, can anyone tell me why Lee seemed to have improved so much compared to his reported form in the VFL.
no need to comment on Hickey, I have seen him and despite the critisisms of him, I think he has a ton of skills and will be a very good ruckman.

Lance or James??

Lee looks good, but hickey was woeful.
Our ruck got smashed again.
Stanley is out of form ,looks lost at times.

still dissapointed in Saad...because he shows he can perform...but just doesn't. Looking for the easy ball EG hoping the ball goes over the contest instead of making a contest.
Re: Hickey & Lee...Inspired Selections
Lee 8 disposals, 6 marks 2 of which contested, 3 goals 1
Hickey 12 hitouts, 7 disposals 6 of which contested, 1 goal assist, 2 clearances

Trying to do the same thing that has snared Milney about 200 of his goals but doesn't have the strength and timing to nudge his opponent under the ball without giving away a free. The Fireman wrote:still dissapointed in Saad...because he shows he can perform...but just doesn't. Lee showed a bit today and Hickey had some very nice hitouts. I'll be thrilled if Lee can become a player though he's a fair way off having the size and fitness needed. Hickey is just so similar to McEvoy and we can't afford to play both of them. Hickey is better in the hitouts but McEvoy is a better mark, unfortunately they are both utterly useless up forward.

Re: Hickey & Lee...Inspired Selections
Maybe watch his first 2 and a bit quarters. Like most of the team he run out of puff in the 3rd but showed he is a player of the future.joffaboy wrote:Considering I only heard bits and pieces on the radio and saw the last qtr, can anyone tell me why Lee seemed to have improved so much compared to his reported form in the VFL.

Re: Hickey & Lee...Inspired Selections
He was given space, wasn't dragged on and off the ground and got selected by teammates instead of blazing to roo as per usual.
Re: Hickey & Lee...Inspired Selections
The thing is.. has Stanley ever been IN form?Greg T wrote:Lee looks good, but hickey was woeful.

I think a game or two back he looked likely up forward for a patch.. & that's the best I can remember from the guy.
God, the thing that sticks most in my head when I think of Stanley is some of the 'pug love' rubbish he's been pushing.
Big softy?
Re: Hickey & Lee...Inspired Selections
I was glad Lee got a full game. Gives him a bit of confidence instead of being subbed off.

lee was good, took few strong marks under pressure and looked very mobile and a good kick. Did not dominate but showed he can playjoffaboy wrote:Considering I only heard bits and pieces on the radio and saw the last qtr, can anyone tell me why Lee seemed to have improved so much compared to his reported form in the VFL.

He certainly has gone backwards over the past 12 months or so, but he's not alone there.
I thought his first year was really good, coaching? Shame...!
