Pick 1 on the table

Post: # 1353985Post southernsaint »

Given that g.w.s. have put pick 1 on the table what would you be prepared to give up to get it. They are chasing experinced players especially a ruckman. Would you trade big ben and maybe more to snare pick 1. Its a hard call, would love tom boyd but i dont think i could do it. Your thoughts

Ben for pick one. Yep that will happen. Maybe we would need to throw in CJ to get it over the line though.

I hope so. That would be such a great deal for us. To make sure they do it though I also chuck in Jack Steven and Armo. Then we can have a 8 year gap in our age profile.

Yes when the idea is stupid. You would understand stupid. Lets have a discussion but make it real. Some of the stuff written belongs in fantasy land. I mean losing Ben and pick 3 to get pick one. Seriously what does that mean. And then you get others saying lets get GWS players for picks when GWS have today and previously said they will trade picks for players. People need to realise we arent getting Adams for any picks and we dont have the players to get him so forget him and discuss realistic things that are even slightly able to happen.

My membership support would be over if we were to trade Ben and pick 3 for pick 1.
Crazy thoughts.
Do you think the difference between 1-3 is so great it = Ben ?
If we were to do it we would be smashed in the ruck to the tune of 3 years.
There's gotta be better moves Pelchen has considered than this one.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Buddy would simply accept the Hawks offer and stay. Then they'd have to de-list half their players to afford him. Wouldn't happen.

From reading over on bigfooty (and apologies if I get some wrong I'm going on memory not looking them up)

Tom Boyd - Vic - Full forward - over 195cm and dominating - likely to go at number 1 - comparison: Tom Hawkins
Aish - SA - inside/outside mid - clear number 2 to be drafted

Dunstan - SA - inside mid - clearance king - range 3-6
Dom Sheedy - WA - inside mid - range 3-6
Sharenburg - SA captain - half back flanker - impressive at TAC at weekend - range 3-10
Billings - Vic - playing medium forward now but likely to be mid at senior level - range 3-10
Kelly - Vic - outside mid, great endurance and kick, slightly small - range 3-10
Crouch - SA - inside mid - range 5-10

Basically there are a lot of mids available

What about #3 and McEvoy to GWS for Adams and #10

Would leave GWS to be able to trade #1 to someone else.

They want players not picks. All they are getting there is another pick and a player swap. Why does Adams want to come to us? Where is he from? And why get an even bigger gap in our age profile?
