Tim Watson "We could take one of Harvey's Brownlows" ??
What is Buisy Timmy actually on about here?
Commenting on a possible loss of Jobe's medal he suggests he could win another one or go and take one of Rob Harvey's "we know where he lives"
He must be on something himself surely the clown. I don't quite get it
I'd post a link but I'm on my iPhone can someone oblige here please..today's age

Sounds pretty innocuous.
Used to coach Harvey. Lives not far away. Knows he has Brownlows.

Re: Tim Watson "We could take one of Harvey's Brownlows" ??
I think he's just being light-hearted.
He could just as easily have said "we know Bob Skilton's got three, we could get one of his".
From The Age -
"To me the Brownlow doesn't define Jobe, and I'm talking as a father now," said Watson. "We didn't love him any more because he won the Brownlow and we wouldn't love him any less if he lost the Brownlow.
"If that happens, we have two choices: he goes and wins another one, or Rob Harvey's got two and I know where Rob lives and maybe we can take one of Rob's.
"We are in unknown territory here. There's a lot of possibilities."

Poor Timmid. Must've been a bit cold and wet as a boundary rider last night.
Oh well, thanks or being a coach as useless as Neeld and delivering us a priority pick!

I third that.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

It's Saints related. Not like there is much action in SS nowadays.

Tim Watson trying to down play the situation, or a little bit of mitigation. Made a dumb joke that west coast should be applauded for their booing. I think the guy is really stupid. And I think his son is really stupid.

The quote was taken from a TV interview which was on last night. It was very much tongue in cheek. I got a laugh out of it. I think everyone should lighten up. I can't imagine it's been a very enjoyable week in the Watson household, and as much as some might dislike him, this whole situation has nothing to do with Tim.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

It would be tough to lose something like the Brownlow for following the clubs instructions.
At the moment it is pure speculation, he may get found not guilty

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Tim Watson "We could take one of Harvey's Brownlows" ??
I think Tim is a very average sports commentator and has not much of an idea about coaching.
His comments through this drug saga have been embarrassingly lopsided.
Having said that, I actually feel some sympathy for him as a parent.
I think most of us would feel hard done by if our son had is Brownlow removed in the current circus pants.
Jobe has definitely erred and most probably deserves to lose the medal but the Club (read hird and thompson) have a LOT to answer for.

Reminds me of when lloyd got reported for an elbow to Dals face. He told the tribunal that he was just trying to play more like Rob Harvey.
*Allegedly.

Luckily for Tim he has made a career for himself in the media, he had a couple of flop business attempts before he fell on his feet in the media.howlinwolf wrote:I think Tim is a very average sports commentator and has not much of an idea about coaching.
Doubt he'll be a comedian when his media career is over

Re: Tim Watson "We could take one of Harvey's Brownlows" ??
as OP I was a tad amused with Tims quip but thought it interesting enough to bait a line for some of the born again proctologists that inhabit this place of late.... and they haven't let us down (have they Matrix old M8!)
He and other diehards will attest that Boy from the Bush has a bit of a sense of humour and as for those who have queeried it ... just see how yours holds up and compares with mine after 65+ years of following this Mighty Footy Club!!
and FYI it's common knowledge to anyone with an IQ over room temperature that it's an Aussie trait for many to make light when faced with dire adversity, and I am in no doubt dear old Timmy was doing just that after many of his media colleagues have all come out baying for his sons Brownlow. He had nowhere else to turn I would hazard to suggest!
Anyway keep smiling the rest of you and enjoy the ride in the armour-plated assault vehicle as we head towards an early draft pick!
