Staley played well for Sandy on the weekend - is it worth promoting him??

I remember we debuted Fisher in desperation when Hudgeton and Penny were both out injured.....he turned out ok :)

Richmond could play a tall fwd line (like they did earlier in the season) and really expose our lack of height...

He's developing OK is young Staley - however he would be like a fish out of water. If he keeps developing the way he is, I could see him playing in about 2 years.

Bizarre

But not uncommon behaviour from Seaford

Must be close to a chance to be upgraded to the senior list.

How many times has he been in the best. I cant remember to many. I reckon he is a fair way off.

From what I've read from those who regularly attend Sandy games Staley has been our best tall backman for Sandy all year (at least St Kilda listed players) and ahead of Lever and Ferguson. With Simpkin out and Fisher likely on the longterm injury list Staley may just get an opportunity.

Staley has looked pretty good at times. Not many defenders get in their teams best.

Agreed. same Fisher never gets in our best. Or Dempster or geary or Baker when he played. Roberton this year. How many times have you seen him play? O

Just thought i would echo Purplehayes ' observation that Chips turned out OK.
Personally i believe he has on many occasions been fantastic and a key support in the teams that made X2 grand finals. For a long time Sam Fischer has struck me as an elite player and as a commited and resilient defender he has saved our bacon on many, many occasions.
The toe injury has been a bugger for him and only quantified the pressures on the Saints defensive stratgies in games. However if he can get the thing right as rain and return energised it will mean alot to the development of the Saints into a new era.
S. Fischer has been one of my favourite Saints players for a long time now and i wish him a speedy recoveryand successful return in 2014.

G O S A I N T S !

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.
