Wright still injured? Hopefully the kid gets back soon, straight back into the ones for mine.stkildathunda wrote:Final @sandyzebs Team: Out from selected side: Marcus Marigliani, Beau Dowler, Nathan Wright & Luke Barnhoorn

Sandy down at half time but going on a run in the third - now 7 points up nearing the final break.

Sounds like Kosi's doing OK - into the Saints team next week to build for his 200th?

Re: VFL: Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks
Anyone know how Tom Lee went?
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
Re: VFL: Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks
Saw the whole game. Lee was shocking, perhaps didn't even get a possie, he looks many kilos heavier than when we saw him against
Sydney. I honestly thought his whole body was swollen. He was less agile than Kosi who incidently played a much better game.
Obviously, the coaching staff want him to bulk-up but he looked and played terribly.

Thanks for the update on the game.
It doesn't sound great on the Tom Lee front.

Interesting, because I thought Lee was very good today.sainter27 wrote:Saw the whole game. Lee was shocking, perhaps didn't even get a possie, he looks many kilos heavier than when we saw him against

Kosi actually looked like he was actually enjoying himself today, he also looked like he wanted to hurt the opposition.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

According to reports on BF Lee may have been injured - during which quarter??
Apparently was rucking at one stage

Lee was rucking in the second Q. I don't think I saw him after 1/2 Time !!Devilhead wrote:According to reports on BF Lee may have been injured - during which quarter??

Nah, pretty sure Lee didn't ruck and didn't sustain any visible injury. I am confused by Bernards' post, as Saints fans we are always optimistic- but I saw
nothing from Lee today, please elaborate on you're insights because all fans judge players differently

Re: VFL: Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks
Our neighbour went to Sandy Oval and said the same thing about Lee. Reckons he was horrible today and they were saying he looks a worse pick than Jody Arnol who is before my time. Googled the bloke and was taken No. 3 in 1989 draft. Personally I haven't seen anything to suggest Lee is worthy of a first round pick and being 22yo you would expect some glimpses of ability by now to justify what the club gave up to get him.

Lee definitely rucked for the second half that I was there for... Pretty much played only ruck.
Ad he was coming to the bench a fair bit for some reason. But I didn't keep looking.

Re: VFL: Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks
Lee played ruck for bit and then didnt take any further part in game due to foot injury. Had shocker of game before that, couldnt hold mark to save himself. Gets pushed out contests way too easily.sainter27 wrote:Nah, pretty sure Lee didn't ruck and didn't sustain any visible injury. Re: VFL: Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks
The hardest player to get a handle on is Spencer White. Does some unbelievable things but doesn't quite finish it all off. Is Very Raw. Is Very exciting. Has a Fair way to go before is considered ready for AFL. I think he will be worth the wait !!

Re: VFL: Sandringham vs Box Hill Hawks
I was at the game today, I did miss the first quarter thou, few thoughts on players are
Milira- was a class above everyone, 5 goals kicking with left and right, should come back into the team
Lee- does look much thicker and seemed to be struggling with an injury, played ruck and fwd but didn't do a lot
Murdock- gonna be a good player, 3 goals playing midfield and also tagging ellis too. a powerful kick and loves the hard stuff
kosi- took some big grab and battled hard. showed a lot of emotion when sandy scored goals and seem to get around the younger players well
sippos- wearing the bright boots, just seems like it should be happening for him but needs to work harder
saunders- looks a good kid, can find the ball , needs to baulk up
curren- deserves a chance at afl, works so hard, did lots of smoothers and running to pick up players. very professional
whitte- gonna be a guy with a few years in the gym, looks really good but not delievling too much atm
simpkin- played half forward and battled hard, saw arron Hamill talk to him a lot at the breaks so maybe gonna play a Hamill type role
staley- didn't get a lot of it but looked like a good spoiler
ferg- does some good things. just looked out of his depth at afl
lever- doesn't have to much energy in his game, didn't do much
ledger- battles hard, did some reaslly nice kicks to into the forward line
cookie- seems a favourite with the sandy fans, solid guy and loves to hit in hard, seemed like a real leader out there
