We looked gone at half time even though we were in front on the scoreboard in '97. Their midfield was dominant and it wasn't only because we didn't have Vidovic or Spider that day.

We were getting beaten in the clearances and contested possession as far as I could recall. We were relying on 19 yr olds to win it for us and relying on goals of the year to get the scoreboard ticking over. To me, a GOP is someone that a lot of supporters think is s*** but other supporters think he fills a role so he's a GOP.

Take Jayson Daniels. To me he was just s*** but to others he was a GOP. Or Clint Jones. I think he's a GOP but others think he's just s***....


BTW Heatley was the most accurate set shot on goal I've ever seen. He was our man at full-forward in the '97 GF. Wasn't his fault we lost, either...
