It is there isn't it?
I'm sure the players feel it.
The flatness, minimal desire. Is it just a natural cycle we have to fall down after being up for so long
Probably. Could be injuries ....fitness.
It won't last...this malaise. Nothing ever does. The only constant is change.
Riewoldt seems to be the only one strong enough to keep fighting with hunger and passion. Robert Harvey was the same.
One of these days the saints squad will turn up to a game ready to decimate their opponent. Such a great thing..hope.
Springs eternal doesn't it?
Oh well just some ramblings.
The malaise

Re: The malaise
Malaise or a difficult adjustment period with a change in personnel. As I have posted previously, compare some of last year's senior players and who were in those roles last week
Gram - Wright (4 games)
Goddard - Webster (3 games)
Koschitzke - Hickey (20 games)
Schneider - Saad (20 games)
Hayes - Ross (6 games)
Blake - Ferguson (1 game)
Gilbert - Newnes (15 games)
Now, tell that that is not going to make a difference!

Re: The malaise
When you put it like that it's pretty compelling. The total number of games played by the guys in the right column is less than half the number of any one of the guys in the left column !!cwrcyn wrote:Malaise or a difficult adjustment period with a change in personnel.
