I too have constantly had friends, colleagues and random people tell me Milne is 'a dirty rapist' and the saints are 'full of rapists' or 'get teenage girls pregnant' etc etc...the problem is the papers sensationalized both those stories and hung drawn and quartered the players...which even though Milne was never charged and we all know the whole Kim saga was full of lies...the main thing that sticks in people's mind is what they read in the paper. And that will never change. Beams doesn't cop it cos that was all very hush hush not front/back page news for days and weeks on end.

I await an apology from Susie O'Brien of the Hun to Sam Gilbert and David Armitage following her sob story article about a young girl who found herself pregnant to a wicked Saints player and how she lost one baby but was still pregnant with the other baby.. You get the gist if the story.

Trouble is we all know the end of this story and the lies that created it. But did Ms O'Brien write a retraction or issue an apology? Nope.

I loved Milney's answers to questions regarding the abuse he cops over the fence, especially when he spoke of The Footy Show making a hero out of that woman from the Collingwood Cheer Squad a couple of weeks ago. It appeared that the STRENGTH of his comments/answers created a bit of discomfort amongst the panel !!

"It always happens. I just go with the flow and continue on with my footy, and always have … you don't lower your level to that kind of people. All Saints supporters really stick up for me and the whole team."

the discussion occured around the general abuse and not sledging- but the abuse.. not just his family but others all families and children- Milney's father has nearly come to blows with supporters in the past- Thankfully Tyson and family sit with other players families etc..


Llody when queried post Milney being on was asked if he knew something- just said he sat there on TSFS and saw how upset MIlney was and how affected by it

"Lyon said the Channel 9 show made a "grave mistake" by inviting a Collingwood supporter who leant over the fence to abuse Milne to be a guest on the show.

Milne said in an interview last weekend the comments were very hurtful and he was worried about taking his children to games.

"We need to put our hand up here on The Footy Show," Lyon said last night.

"We need to apologise to Stephen Milne because we had a lady in here that we all would have seen leaning over a fence abusing him at a game.

"That was a grave mistake on our behalf ... Stephen (says) he was hurt by what had happened there and he is the subject of constant abuse

"So we apologise for that, that was wrong."
