How bad was that
Was it our worst performance sinc 2001?
At least GC had Gary to cause the embarrassment..... This time only the players are to blame
Lost to a rabble who can't win...

Re: How bad was that
I think it was the bad performance we had to have.
Now any delusions can finally be put to rest.
As drag it mentioned in another thread bottom 4 is inevitable in 2014 and most likely 2015.
It is not being negative at all.
It is an obvious inevitability.
The real question is do we have the proper people in charge to make sure we use these years as springboards
To our next serious challenge.
I'm not just talking about the coach.

Buddy I see your point but with 13 rounds left we were always going to crash hard soon anyway.
I hate Footscray and hate losing to absolute Shyte on our own dung heap. End of story.

Re: How bad was that
Very very bad loss but we have to suck it up this year.
The system rewards failure .
If we are not contenders don't want to be pretenders either .
I am a Scott Watters fan but you got to be honest they had a very bad night in the box.
But that's life.
The club can turn it around everyone will just have to be patient and get games into the young guys with support of
Older ones.

The old system rewards failure.
The new system with free agency rewards affluence.
Our new place in the game is to enjoy the occasional good game and to enjoy watching young players develop until they are ready to play for richer more important teams.
In the eyes of the AFL this was the battle of the unimportant.

The AFL didnt want FA but i disagree with you anyway. Most players wont leave a side on the up. They may leave a side on the slide but that will maybe make them go up more quickly by having a couple of years of good picks.
