Re: TEAM v Crows
Blake, Maister, Jones the emergencies for mine.
Dunell for Wright straight swap.
With the greatest respect of a club stalwart, if Blakey's in its a big step backwards IMO.

Re: TEAM v Crows
So if Wilkesy comes in does that mean Hickey out?
We need another tall forward.
We need another tall forward.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
Re: TEAM v Crows
the question is if Maister plays who misses out unless it is Wright but that may unbalance the side. If it is a forward is it Milne, Hickey, Milera, Saad or Siposs? My guess is Milera.

Re: TEAM v Crows
Maister for Milera doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. Not casting aspersions, but that would make us too top heavy, even though the Adelaide forecast is 22* and overcast rather than rain.plugger66 wrote:the question is if Maister plays who misses out unless it is Wright but that may unbalance the side. If Blake comes in I'll nominate for this years draft...

Yes Milera lays more tackles but Maister takes more marks. I have no idea who will play. it maybe just Dunell for Wright

It will be cold and wet in Adelaide on the weekend. I would doubt very much we will be bringing in a tall for a small. Milera is a lock IMO.

What is not to like about last week's team? One forced change, I reckon. Wilkes can earn his stripes again.

Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
Webster starts to replace Wright and that maintains the balance. If Beau's right, he helps Roo by taking some attention. Hickey stays 'cos the balance from last week looked better.
It's down to what they want to do with the sub, I reckon. Small impact player, someone more versatile or something else.
I reckon Maister for Wright. The multi smalls up forward hasn't set the world on fire thus far, so I reckon I of them will be the sub.

Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
Hickey looked really sore in leg/or hip, limped down the race after the Carlton game very noticeably................... so he just might not come up this week. I think there might be a last minute decision made on him. Hence Blake & Maister as emergencies.

Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
Sorry. I just made that up. Looking at my phone now it says Monday is the shocker. A couple of days ago it was Sunday. Still don't think we will go in with an extra tall regardless. We will see though. Carlton played Yarren on Monday as well as 3 ruckmen. Nothing would surprise me.plugger66 wrote:8856brother wrote:It will be cold and wet in Adelaide on the weekend. Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
If Hickey is injured then Blake has to come in. I hope Hickey is good to go as it would be good to see him get a run of games because he looked like he's got something from last weeks game.
Gee it's a shame about Wright. He really gave us some run and carry which is amazing considering he's play 3.25 games.
I'm not sure about those saying Maister to come in because he provides a decoy for Roo. Really? Has he shown enough to warrant that sort of attention from the oppo. Jury still out for mine and is a backup player at best.

They might bring Maister in for Milera and Dunnel for Wright giving us 2 talls, 2 mids and 2 smalls in the forward line.plugger66 wrote:the question is if Maister plays who misses out unless it is Wright but that may unbalance the side. Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
I think its been said before...
The only way Blakey adds to his games tally is as a backup ruck where necessary. Interesting to note Kosi is nowhere near the team, in years gone by he'd be a lock for the spot that Hickey may vacate.

Its a bit hard for Kosi to play at the moment. He is suspended.

Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
If Hickey can't play then it will be between Maister and Blake. Maister may get the nod and play as the second ruck as relief only as Jacobs tends to play the majority of game time as the Crows ruckman so could go head to head with McEvoy.
As for Wright's replacement - Newnes will go back to take a small forward and Jones will come in to tag Dangerfield or Sloane - probably Sloane - and Geary may take Dangerfield whether he is in the midfield or forward.

Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
I'm happy for Maister to come back into the team, but surely he would need a game under his belt at Sandy first after a month out? He's still only a junior in terms of experience really…

Re: Round 8: TEAM v Crows
I am hoping its Dunnell for Wright, I think the balance was good against the scum. Hopfully Hickey is fit as I think he takes a lot of pressure of McEvoy which was important on that last quarter.
I would like to see Maister in but I don't know who he would replace
