Re: Jimmy Gwilt
Agree. Thought the whole backline looked a bit shakey in Q4 though.

Re: Jimmy Gwilt
Jimmy Gwilt was good tonight.
Both Jim and Rhys need to remember they should only be looking to block when the opposition is still looking for a lead to honour... when the ball is in the air it's too late to look for your man and try and wrestle with him - most times your opponent side steps or just jumps and marks the footy
You can still get a lot of body on your opponent if that is the way you want to impact the contest...but ffs keep your eyes on the footy once the damn thing is in the air.

Re: Jimmy Gwilt
He looks like he has lost a bit of weight and is moving much better for it. Played like he was back to his best.

Re: Jimmy Gwilt
Was very good tonight... am a major critic of his since 2011 but was superb tonight
thought his decision making was superb and when he kicked the ball, he looked like he backed himself to thread the eye of the needle every time... which he did
his play making was absolutely superb

Re: Jimmy Gwilt
Good to see the real Jimmy back.
Glad we gave him a Sandi game to ease back into it.

Re: Jimmy Gwilt
He is a class act, calm and composed and reads the play well.
He looks really strong too, would have to be in the top strongest in the club for sure

massive. Just gwiltys body work is just so good. And id forgotten how good Dempster was last year. Hes funny to watch because sometimes hes way out of position and im thinking oh were in trouble now but somehow dempster says nah bugger that ill just somehow put my body in the way and mark it. cracks me up.
Re: Jimmy Gwilt
Yes great game from Gwilt.
Fisher, Dempster, Wright, Roberton also played good. Hard to see Simpkin getting a game anytime soon. How has he been playing in the 2's?

Re: Jimmy Gwilt
was far from outstanding but glad he was back..
He was on Henderson on most of the time he went forward (except once) as it was right in front of me... Henderson soundly beat him...
But i love Gwilty and he definitely makes a difference

Re: Jimmy Gwilt
Credit needs to go to Bevo who picked him out of obscurity at Noble Park.
His talent wasn't all that obvious down there. Many of his team mates were astounded that he got drafted. I bet they are eating their words now.
