Demonland
Just got pumped by Gold Coast....I took a brief visit to their fan site to check the mood....they have a pretty dry humour over there, such as this comment I had a chuckle at:
"Can we maybe just forfeit a couple of games to build our percentage back up?"

Nee!

They could finish above us this season the way we've been going.Stillwaiting wrote:Yes, they are shocking, but they are on the same amount of wins us us and we also lost to the suns

Re: Demonland
Listening to some of them on SEN on callback to Finey impressed me. They were measured, intelligent and spoke sense.
I feel sympathy for them. Having said that I couldn't help but think we may that bit closer to getting Frawley next year.
It seems to me the players are making a statement about the coach. They can't be that bad.

They are in huge trouble if they can't Jeremy Howe long term too
Are they all of contract?, if they are not then Melbourbe can't afford to loose them

Re: Demonland
New/Interim CEO made some interesting comments during the week. Said you can't lay this mess at the feet of one man - Neeld. Everything at the club is broken. Process, reporting lines, recruitment, everything. Very measured.

surely one 15 metre penalty in a prelim can't have caused all this!Toy Saint wrote:But you can't blame Jim Stynes

Yes you can. He was a major part of the problem but they didn't want to get rid of him out of respect to his situation.Toy Saint wrote:But you can't blame Jim Stynes

And they brought back Barassi as a coach, unfortunately for them he was a flop.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

Work safe wouldn't allow that. Too dangerous for pedestrians!Greg T wrote:Lolli pop man at the MCGsaintspremiers wrote:What job will Neild have next week

Re: Demonland
If ever a team needed a discretionery priority pick, it's Melbourne, right now ... and yet because everyone knows they tanked the AFL will be pillared if they give them one. Not sure I feel sorry for them - they stuck with Bailey while he had the audacity to grind their club into the ground in pursuit of draft picks. Hmmm ... tough one.
Does anyone know where the priority picks land - start of the draft or end of the first round?
