Bernard... I've got you covered.

Most would actually believe that!

The two HTB decisions against Nick without Prior?? Good tackles, ball up?
Cloke just drops it out of a tackles... With the same prior... No HTzb and goal!

Eithe Nicks weren't or Clokes was?

The Pendlbury in the back was in someon else's words... Embarrasing. Goal
Armitage and Siposs were slammed....

And Krakour... Mmm... Surely an agenda?

Umps keep **** us over, the non Roo mark was bulls***, along with the collingwood player dropping the ball on the 50 arc (I think it was Swan or Cloke), ball goes forward, goal to Collingwood, utter bs.

s*** like that hurts. Especially when its in the forward 50.

Its the 50 metre penalty more than the free kick against us that worries me

I think at very least the umpires know that by giving particular sides the rub of the green over the others (even if they are inconsistent and make a few howlers both ways) and if the game result goes as expected, then they are less likely to be noticed or called to account.

I tell you what I expect, and I am on a weekly basis losing interest in football. Yep , even in the 80's I could go to the game, watch us get smashed by teams that were better than us, but still enjoy the day, and drown the sorrows at the disco.

Now, it is just a tainted farce.
And, this is their problem and they have no idea how to deal with it - imbeciles. They've spent their entire existence milking related party relationships (e.g. David Evans father, Ron, being on the Commission and "winning" the contracts for the company he chaired Spotless Catering, to supply the catering at the MCG and The Dome), they now have no view on how you run a multi $B business.

What was the count at 1/4 time? As it was all going our way early.

Then in the second half it was a disgrace, the one against Roo was a disgrace when Lynch did the same thing a minute earlier which ended in a goal. 12 point differential and basically killed us. Pendles one was deplorable, as was the one on our 50m line - too many to name, the worst thing was the inconsistency and they almost all resulted in goals to the filth.

But what's the point, just sounds like sour grapes

And what is it with the umpire being miked up and speaking to the commentary box?
How is this ok? How much more can we cheapen our game?

I wish they would do it more. While they are distracted they can't over officiate. I say get some boring old ladies to natter at them before they come down the race.

Who else found it funny when Dane Swan market on the run put his hand up to say not playing on. But ran an extra 15 metres slowing himself down and the ump let him kick from there.???????

Three umpires - 3 different interpretations. Umpires imposing their presence on the game with "technical" frees. It's getting to be like basketball.

The paying public want to see fair contests, not technical frees paid, especially when it costs goals ("over-the-shoulder" free against Stanley to Cloke near the goal square in the last qtr.).

So your saying that's the worst you've ever seen and the umpires cost us the game? Give me a break, they weren't consistent and rarely are, but they didn't cost us the game and were not the worst I've seen by a long shot.

That and coming infield 5 metres from their line. Montagna was yelling at the ump saying it should be play on. We take one step and it's play on. Different rules for different clubs.

Appalling. I have seen worse umpiring in my time but it was a long time ago. I just think they can't get the staff.

Final total frees 21-24.

Another losing week.

Running Total so far this year 106-134
from the 10 minute mark of the second quarter to the end of the game the free kick count was 18 to them , 9 to us .
during the same time they kicked 12 goals , we kicked 6 !

also early in the game when we led the free kick count 12 to 6 , 3 of those free's were one's where we had possesion anyway !
e.g. when pendlebery hit cj late , gilbert had already taken the mark but it was paid as a down field free .

Can anyone remember when we were on top of the ladder, no one worried about free kick stats, and everyone called essendon & carlton supporters the biggest pack of whingers?

Because we were good enough for it not to cost us. When sides are pretty even, and games are close, some decisions are critical. We have been on the wrong side of the ledger too often this year.

The rules hadn't been f***ed up then, causing game deciding umpiring

Last nights commentators stated that 'good' teams should be 4 goals better than the Saints this year - is this because the umpires 'gift' them at least 4 goals each game.
