Re: Gilbert - hopefully a hyperextension
It definitely looked like a hyper extension. Probably out for 2-3.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Re: Gilbert - hopefully a hyperextension
Doc Larkins says could be 6 weeks, but 80% sure that's the season over for Gilbo.
He also said Lenny 3 or 4 weeks.

Re: Gilbert - hopefully a hyperextension
I'm sure one of those Bozos on the Fox commentary team (might have been Lynch) mentioned that it was a suspected ACL.....if Doc Larkins says 6 weeks though, the doc is always right so I'm more than happy to go with that.Buckets wrote:Watts the Buzz wrote:I'm hearing ACL.........NNNNOOOOOOOO!

Doc said possible calf tear, 3/4 weeks. 80% sure season over for Gilbo, but could be 6 weeks if strained.

So Doc thought that Gilbo had done an ACL?Munga wrote:Doc said possible calf tear, 3/4 weeks. 80% sure season over for Gilbo, but could be 6 weeks if strained.
From the footage on tv didn't look good. Gilbo's body language when in the rooms and on the bench seemed to be one of resignation. God I hope I'm wrong, I think Gilbo has been having a good year so far. More dangerous than the last couple of years.

Hopefully he bucks this trend

Lets just keep our fingers crossed for Gilbo. We'll know for sure one way or the other by about lunch time tomorrow !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

That surface is crap- heaps bounced and the ball stopped dead or moved sideways. Etihad is still like an ice rink with polythene bags placed on top of it.

Kicked to Milne who had front position and got a rare free kick and shot at goal. What could possibly be wrong with that?Siposstar#2 wrote:Why did he play on anyway? Stupidity caused it

Re: Gilbert - hopefully a hyperextension
He played on tried to take the guy on after a mark he took 2 mm from a opposition player. His kick was very luck after he rushed it. Not saying he deserved it. And I hope he is okay. I lost my temper very easily also. yelling at the Collingwood supporters laughing an cheering him off in front of me.
But you can't see how playing on next to a defender and then kicking whilst being tackled can result in this?
Very brave!

Re: Gilbert - hopefully a hyperextension
I thought he was having a massive impact on the game - when he went down it was a turning point. BOG before then for mine - shame.
