I wonder if Warney would ever be considered as Saints president, I reckon he should be approached, as I think we need a high profile media-friendly person to head the club. And what about approaching Ricky Ponting as number one ticket holder (Ponting and wife have bought a mansion near the Warnes). It's time for the club to really get a higher profile.

I reckon Warney would do a really good job.

What is the role of an AFL president? Advocate for your club. Be a mover and shaker. Hob nob with the big end of town and raise money/sponsors etc etc.
Provide some guidance into setting up mgt structures - but nothing too technical.
