Geelong Away Game - tickets
I must be a sucker for punishment, but kids and I are interested in going to the Geelong away game at Kardinia Park. Anyone have details of how saints members can buy tickets - if at all ? Is there an away allocation?
thanks in advance...

it's the collingwood game in 10 days which may be as difficult to get into.

Re: Geelong Away Game - tickets
A couple of fellow Sainters who have 16 game memberships have been told they have to register early and then pay $30 extra to purchase a reserved seat. Neither of them are going.
I'm an AFL member and haven't really taken any notice of their properganda.
Kardinia Park on a Friday night it will be a nightmare getting down the Princes Freeway on a Friday night and having to stay over other I wouldn't get home until 2am.
I don't imagine Vline will be running trains after about 930 let alone any footy specials, so it may pay to check with them about services.

Re: Geelong Away Game - tickets
You have to buy your tickets through the CLUB, not Ticketmaster. You just need to ring the 1300 number. They are only available to 16 game members.mcadam05 wrote:It's saying my Barcode has no entitlements to this event , which is strange as I'm 16 game Member
I got mine last week, no problem.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

not sure, but just spoke to club. They said they've only got a very small allocation ( 100 or so) , and this is for the 16 H&A Members. On unlikely chance they dont sell, they would start a list. Only other option is reserved seats via Ticketmaster , on sale 1 May.

Re: Geelong Away Game - tickets
This one?
Rd 4 St Kilda v Essendon
As a valued Saints reserved seat member, the club would like to acknowledge the issues that you may have experienced on Saturday afternoon at Etihad Stadium with non St Kilda supporters occupying seats within Saints reserved seat areas.
For an expected large crowd the club is required to return back to the venue any unsold seats within Saints season seating bays for public sale. In 2013 we have the Ticketmaster system highlighting these seats as St Kilda bays so those purchasing are aware they will be sitting in a Saints area.
A crowd of almost 47,000 on Saturday afternoon resulted in nearly all reserved seating areas in the stadium selling to capacity. Some of these seats were sold to Saints supporters, while others were sold to Essendon supporters wanting to secure a seat rather than attempt general admission entry.
Each season there are a number of seats that remain unsold from the season seat allocation provided by Etihad Stadium. We are continually working to fill these seats and consolidate our seating. A campaign will be launched in the coming weeks to encourage general admission members to purchase season reserved seating.
It is expected that our round seven game against Carlton on Monday 13 May will be a large drawing crowd and vacant seats within Saints seating areas will be released for public sale. We will work with Ticketmaster to release seating for this match to Saints general admission members ahead of the general public.
For all future games where we expect to release seats to the public we will notify reserved seat holders in advance so they are aware that opposition supporters may be sitting within their seating bay.
If you are currently sitting in a bay that appears to have a number of vacant seats and would like to discuss alternative seating options please call the Saints Membership Team on 1300 467 246.

Lots of tickets available at the Gary Ablett terrace end .... just picked up 2 in Bay 13.
Regarding trains - assuming no specials, the last scheduled one leaves South Geelong at 10.24 pm. Game finishes ~ 10.10 pm ...easy
