Shaun Higgins
This guy really needs a change of luck and change of environment.
Hes 25. Will be 28/29 in 3/4 years when we are ready to challenge again.
We can afford him. Have we got anything to trade for him? Schneids, Gilbo, Jones, Kosi

Swap an injured 25 yo for an injured (unfit) 28yo?Teflon wrote:we've got Schneider playing the same role......injured.
no.
Re: Shaun Higgins
Has got the talent, but body lets him down too much. Better options will be around.
When does his contract end at the dogs?

Out for the rest of the year with a foot injury

Re: Shaun Higgins
Would rather us focus on a mid further up the chain than Higgins TBH. We've got the cap room we just need the right timing and the right player.
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Re: Shaun Higgins
We need an A grade mid it's as simple as that, our up & coming midfield talent is sub par by best and I want us to keep any first round pick we get this year and use it on a young Joel Selwood or Ollie Wines for example.

Pick 50+ and 200k
He's a potential VG player.... High skill level, could play off HB or at HF

Re: Shaun Higgins
Yeah, that'd be an excellent price for us, can't see the Dogs going for it though. Or him playing for $200k, for that matter, I reckon someone would bid more.BigMart wrote:Pick 50+ and 200k

He's 25, he's getting a bit old to be relying on potential........BigMart wrote:Pick 50+ and 200k

We have a history of wasting draft picks......we may as well be consistent....
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window

He is a second rounder and a 300k plus player so if that is what we are prepared to pay then we can forget about him which is good.
Re: Shaun Higgins
He has high ceiling. Very skilled and has played well in big finals games. A club like the Pies, Hawks or Swans would give a pick in the 20's and turn him into a star. He'd probably end up in the srap heap if we picked him up. I hope we avoid such injury plagued players.
