Ross is a Watson remember. Sheedy and many others said Watson was too slow..........he is pretty good these days.BigMart wrote:I was referring to their potential from what I've seen.... Not where they are now!
Ross is too slow to be an A Grader, he runs on a treadmill.... And not skilled enough. He isn't even assured to make it. But hopefully he makes it.

Instead, it's another pissing contest between.....him and him.....
Anyway, on Watts he needs a cuddle - bring him in Saints

I think Watts has more upside than Cripps.gringo wrote:Jamie Cripps wasn't AFL standard because he was soft but Jack Watts is the good kind of soft? i don't get it.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

100%.. whoever the club that lands him will have a lot of work to do, but enormous upside... Perfect risk/reward pick..joffaboy wrote:I think Watts has more upside than Cripps.gringo wrote:Jamie Cripps wasn't AFL standard because he was soft but Jack Watts is the good kind of soft? i don't get it.

He is in our age range for regeneration plus the upside could potentially be fantastic.
That being stated, if he was to develop into a B grade player even that would be beneficial.

Re: Jack Watts
I for one wouldn't mind him at the Saints, could see him being our centre half back using his frame and creating play of half back.

4 actually. Bryce Squibs has his own classification for softness.plugger66 wrote:BigMart wrote:There is two kinds of soft...

The other is trained and involves effort....
Watts suffers from type 2 softness.... Just needs a new arse ripped open
There are 3 kinds from what I hear.

I agree with this. He would be a good pick up for any club and would benefit from being at any other club. We have a strong leadership group and I coach that seems to be able to give confidence to players. I think he has the potential to be an A grader but not likely to happen at melbourne. I don't know how we would get him though as I think there will be other clubs after him and I don't think he will be eligible for free agency yet
I love this club

Re: Jack Watts
i agree with that...at that televised pre-match address by their coach last weekend...all the players eyes were following the coach...except jack...he was staring at the ground in front of his feet.....Teflon wrote:He needs a cuddle.....

And it's time to do so again. Why not follow the model that worked for us then?BigMart wrote:In 2000-2002 we went beserk on the list after the 97-98 team was cooked
