Why are we wearing white against the Swans?
I'm sure there's a good reason for that. There's also a good reason for having the roof open and the ground half bathed in sunshine

The reason isnt good its just what they do every day game for some reason.

Because either we have made a mistake OR THE AFL ARE FERKED
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

It's a Twlight game not a day game, unless its considered a day game due to time of year and later sunset due to daylight savings.plugger66 wrote:kosifantutti wrote:I'm sure there's a good reason for that. There's also a good reason for having the roof open and the ground half bathed in sunshine

Closing the roof may be sensible thing to do just before the start, although it tends to increase humidity so not all good.

It's our NAB Cup jumper so we are to blame.

It was also interesting that Swans supporters could get in using their memberships today.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Re: Why are we wearing white against the Swans?
I guess the theory is they can sell more of an alternative strip by wearing it in more games, NAB cup being a good chance to parade it.
I believe that's why you get (e.g.) the bulldogs playing in red against the hawks in white. Madness, but the reason is commercial.
Personally I think it's good to see a different strip during the NAB cup, whatever colour it is, to distinguish the match from the real season. Let's focus on the fact that the Swines looked stupid losing a practice match in their premiership outfit.

Re: Why are we wearing white against the Swans?
I have no problem with having a NAB cup jumper but at some stage the AFL has to say we can't have two teams with predominantly white fronts playing each other.snowdelisaint wrote:I guess the theory is they can sell more of an alternative strip by wearing it in more games, NAB cup being a good chance to parade it.
