Re: gram: i did nothing wrong
Perhaps under Lyon players were given more leeway which lead to the varied incidents of 2010 .
Watters and the club may have become less forgiving , Gram was probably the opposite of blake as an example to young players at the club !
Do the right things and your career will be long , do the wrong things and we'll cut it short as soon as you've become expendable .

Yes, there's such a thing as fair warning. It's a shame though, good player.
Re: gram: i did nothing wrong
As a professional athlete when you are subject to a criminal offence it becomes a public matter not only a personal matter and reflects poorly on the club you play for and represent. No remorse or maturity shown by Gram is a sign that it still hasn't got through to him yet.

The whole thing would have been in the public arena and the saints name would have been dragged through the mud once again! Glad he was sacked!

I get him wanting to set the record straight, but the article just came off as a whinge session....

Re: gram: i did nothing wrong
The prick has the audacity to bad mouth our club AFTER he gets a settlement.
Maybe our lawyers need to get involved.
Surely there would be a "shut the faark up" order placed on his payout??

Re: gram: i did nothing wrong
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/teams/s ... 6587530121Watters stood by the Saints' decision to sack defender Jason Gram last year due to a series of off-field indiscretions.
Gram told the Herald Sun exclusively today he did not deserve to be fired and plans to try to return to the AFL.
But it won't be back at St Kilda, with Watters saying he would not be "a good fit" in the side now.
Watters said he would prefer that Gram was still playing for the club, but his actions made it impossible for them to continue to support him.

Re: Gram: I did nothing wrong
Jason you elected not to nominate for the draft, it is your fault then that you are not playing football. Sounds like you really have been doing it hard, America, Thailand, must be tough. If only we had of given you just one more chance, just waited a few weeks for you to "get over" it. Yep , Jason lets just put the individual before the club
Re: Gram: I did nothing wrong
Of course he was still in the best 18, made it all the more disappointing that he let everyone down.
If he can't understand why the club had to sack him, he has a lot more soul searching to do. If he wants to be picked up, he needs to accept his error, and lay the blame soley on himself.
On a side note, he professes to love the Saints, so he must be aware of the battering it's taken in regards to the 'respect and responsibility' policies in recent years?

Who? J.Gram or saintspremiers after his idiotic post above?
Our club Gram did more for the STKFC in one day than a slug like saintspremiers has done in his whole life.
It isn't your club fool.
Lance or James??

J. Gram, very immature bloke. Needs to take responsibility for his actions, repeat warnings, other issues like missed rehab sessions, poor physical condition, questionable attitude. You can only play the blame game for so long.
Re: Gram: I did nothing wrong
I remember he got an internal suspension in 09 for something along those lines.savatage wrote:J. Gram, very immature bloke. He says the club shouldn't of got involved in what was a private matter, I wonder if the private matter got involved with the club?
Pretty confident he probably blurred the lines between home and work first.

How did he bad mouth the club? I read it as a person disappointed as to what happened both by himself and the club but I didnt read any bad mouthing at all. maybe you should read the article. If I can read it I reckon you can too. By the way from what i was told Grammy was in a bad place and the club did everything they could but it eventually got to much. Right decision IMO and I am a players person usually.

Being sacked may be one. And i reckon Lenny and Rooy dont love a few things at the Saints either. I doubt its a big deal at all.
