2013 Whipping Boys
CJ is in pole position clearly, with Pammy (Tommy Lee) taking up Tommy Walsh's old position.
Kosi is past it so relinquishes Whipping Boy status this season.
Any other players???

Gilbo, surely? And Jimmy Gwilt if he's forced to play on too many big guys who outmark him.saintspremiers wrote:CJ is in pole position clearly, with Pammy (Tommy Lee) taking up Tommy Walsh's old position.

TDL will get a gig surely - get's no.8 as well so he's well placed for the whipping boy status!

... Oh no, the ump dropped his whistle and the loose ball is picked up by Jones three metres out, who delivers a looping handball through the vacant goal square for one behind!dragit wrote:"Siposs kicks a loooong ball deep into the saints 50, Lee should mark this, all on his own… ohh no, drops an absolute sitter… Dennis-Lane is there to mop up, but takes way too long and is run down from behind"

Re: 2013 Whipping Boys
Plus 1, Matrix. If anything, his kicking has become less reliable over the past two years. Has many positives he brings to the table, but they are in danger of being cancelled out by his disposal. Is it confidence or technique, or both? Whichever it is, it's bloody frustrating, because if his disposal and decision making improved, he'd be back to the gun player he was in 2010. We really need him to step up and play a leading role in this period of transition.matrix wrote:gilbert

Trent Dennis-Lane. No. 8. "Raph-Lite". Doomed before he even starts.

So close..., but the Saints have blotted their copy-book and have missed the chance to break their own record (set earlier this year) and create history by notching up a sixth consecutive 100+ points victory..., whilst Lee will now have to wait till next week to try and bring up his ton in his debut season!"
It's Dave, man. Will you open up? I got the stuff with me! -------Who?

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Re: 2013 Whipping Boys
Hopefully Milne, Roo, Blakey and Lenny cop their fair share but most of the supporters reckon the sun shines out of some of our players rectums...so I'll go with the standard answer; Kosi

Hopefully we win 25 straight and there are no performances to criticise...

Re: 2013 Whipping Boys
Try to notice the things he does really well rather than just his disposal.Gilbert
He rarely gets out marked, he leaves his man and chases other blokes opponents, he tackles really well, he doesn't get caught with the ball 19 times out of twenty, the opposition will rarely kick it to his opponent.
And even when he does turn it over and the crowd groans he doesn't hide from the ball. He puts his head down and busts a gut for the team again.

Clearly you are not being serious. Tom Lee has played a practice match and two NAB Cup games. He was quiet againt Adelaide but performed pretty well against Port. I don't think you can compare him to the Tommy gun who is an Irishman with no idea how to play the game nor can you write him off when he hasn't been given the chance to prove himself.
