More than that, he seems to be playing the "criminal culpability on the part of club staff" card. He's suggesting that Jobe was told what was being injected, was happy with it, and then Danks or Robinson or whoever injected something completely different. That would surely be some sort of criminal offence?

I wouldn't think that Goddard would be TOO bothered really, as he is unlikely to lose any salary as a result of Essendon's sins.

On another note, perhaps Essendon's pending demise will comfort those posters who believe Seb Ross was on his way to Tullamarine at year's end.

Surely he won't go now :P

reckon Goddard will get an especially close look at all that amazing young talent he left the Saints for.
talk about screwing the pooch! judas had a superb wicket at the Saints. good mates, good coach, good talent, good salary, best fans. what a w*nker.
and tim and jobe can go root themselves. sick of seeing Watson's daft mug on the telly. his son is equally as thick. HOPE THIS SHIP GOES DOWN LIKE A STONE

savatage said He'd be smiling as he checks his bank balance?

Although I always admired BJ's natural ability I also saw a good bit of dummy spitting and general pissed offedness on the field of play especially over the last few years with us.
I never regarded him as Capt. Material - I wonder if Rossi did?
For me Bj seemed at times a negative influence on the players he worked with as well as an inspiring presence at other times. A mixed bag to summarise.
Truthfully I'm not at all interested how Brendan might think now although Savatage could well be closer to knowing that than myself.
Hoping the likes of Ross, Murdoch and Wright will be remembered far more fondly when the time comes for reviews and yes i loved 'that mark' against the black n' white in 'that ' grand final.

GO SAINTS! :)

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Good point doc. At least it's a tick in the negative column when he weighs up his options. If he can string a few games together and he as well as the leadership and coaches feel like he can be a big part of our new look midfield in 2014, that'll also help keep him at the Saints.

Just heard - BJ is in panic mode - locked in with his lawyers checking the fine print to make sure his precious contract dollars will still flow if P1ss'n'dung can't field a team

I heard an interview early days when he got there saying how inexperienced and green they were when he got there. I thought once he settles in he will probably start finding his feet a little more. What ever the outcome he will be feeling some pain right now. I think the biggest danger for Essendon is if they interview someone like Goddard with out strong bonds and he admits to what was on offer.

Haven't seen him in any of the training pics from this week. Anyone know if he has been at training?

And he was on a very good wicket thanks to Plympton who sacked Stan unfairly.
As St Kilda supporters who bought memberships and supported the club during the Watson years I don't feel sorry for Jobe at all. We have paid enough.
That is all.

So lets get this straight. We shouldnt like Jobe because our club, yes our club, picked Tim to coach us. A person who had no experience in coaching at all so unless he lied to them about experience and we didnt follow it up to me it is our clubs fault he coached us. I have no idea why you wouldnt like his Son because our club picked his Dad to coach.

I too like Jobe. Havent met him but comes across as nice guy and I also really like Tim. Heard him on SEN for about 8 years now and he seems like a nice guy and a very funny man.
never said we shouldn't like him. just said I don't feel sorry for him. why should we?

I thought the same-no sign of him unless he's wearing his Invisible Man suit.

I believe BJ is having urgent talks with his lawyer to see if he can get out of his contract.

Sick of playing half back, Goddard only agreed to sign with the Bombers on the basis they would "stick him in the guts"

There was clearly a misunderstanding as to what this meant :P

is it just me or is all this saga a welcome respite from all those Essendon feel good stories/photo opportunities/glorified fluff pieces with Goddard that have been a staple of the two metro dailies since he defected.
He must be absolutely fuming that he has to deal with yet another scandalous pre-season.

It's not just you… bringing a wry smile to my dial too… especially the Goddard bit… leaving to play in a team closer to a flag - hahahahahahahahah… say it again Brendon, hahahahaha

Nice one doc.
Just in passing, I saw the interview with Kyle Reimers. He is embarrassingly stupid. He mixes up words and smiles like a dope. I'll bet he didn't know what he was taking. I bet he needs toilet paper explained.
I wonder how he worked out how to use the doorknob to get into the injecting room....
