NAB Cup Team Rd 1

Post: # 1284547Post S.A Saint »

The team that i would like to see get a go in the first game of the nab cup series...

B: Geary Simpkin Gwilt
HB: Newnes Ferguson Winmar
C: Sippos Curren Milera
HF: Dunell Stanley Denis-Lane
F: Saad Lee Shenton
R: Hickey Ross Ledger

Int: Markworth, Webster, Lever, Staley, Michington

from the looks of that team there are some promising players coming through and the future is not as bad as we thought!!

I would like to see all the players we picked up last night get a run, as well as the players we got in the trade period. Dont forget we play two short games on the same night/day. Should have a squad of about 32.

Agree, give the kids a go with the first round and then as it gets closer to the season start adding in the more senior players then pick the team in the last friendly that would start round 1.

Would love it if they play Ferguson and Lever throughout the nab cup as key defenders.... just play em, nothing lost....
See how they go

That would clear space for a pre-season draft pick, or if the club passed there, they could have a rookie pick, even pick Winmar as a rookie.

Has he been told he will be rookied?

Thanks for your response.

Presuming that this is true it's unfortunate for him, footy can be a very tough business.

He was taken with St Kilda's second round draft pick 32 in a very compromised draft at the end of 2009, probably equivalent to a late third round pick 48 in an uncompromised draft.

Do you remember what we did with the first round pick 16 (equivalent to mid second round pick 24).

The answer ........

Oh you are going to Lovett.

He doesn't even get a trip to the USA to train.

Professional sport is more than a tough business it is merciless.
Unless you have the rare talent and the application it will spit you out.

It is never nice to be terminated especially when it was not your failure and you had no control over the company's failures.
To anyone in this predicament I can only recommend the following.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DISADVANTAGE.
Do something else that you would never have done had you remained in place.
Work on your skills, make sure that if an employer does not take you on, it is to his loss.

I did, and am glad that the termination happened when it did.

add this to our wonderful picks in 2008 of Lynch, Heyne, Cahill...

That is two consecutive drafts down the toilet. We are trying to make up for it now but we are going to feel some severe pain.

We had no choice but to give up BJ under this scenario.

I remember that Port took Jasper Pittard with 16 and he hasn't exactly set the world on fire yet.
