Look again...

Also, it doesn't bother me one bit that they took their time to decide who to pick. Do you really want the recruiters to rush their selections...?

Clurey went at 29, Mason Wood went at 41 (if that's who you mean). But definitely Garlett missing out was a surprise, maybe Eagles will rookie him?

Made a mistake with Clurey but that still leaves Colquhoun, Pongracic, Garlett, Haynes and Rodda without clubs who were rated highly here.

Yeah, who would have thought that an anonymous internet forum wasn't a good source of objective and valuable information about the preferences of AFL clubs?

Garlett and Colquhoun were the only ones rated highly on here and with good reason. There are very obvious reasons as to why Garlett wasn't picked up and I don't think anyone could have forseen that more than a week ago. And Colquhoun, like every year is just one of the highly rated players who missed out. Many draft experts were surprised he wasn't picked up. The others you mentioned people were just suggesting to pick up with later picks. Please don't re-write history.

Not too mention just because a player wasn't picked up, doesn't mean the recruiters got it right. How many rookies have we seen gone on to become very successful players?

That is true but at the moment and in retrospect wouldnt we look bloody stupid using picks 24 and 25 on those 2 players when no one wanted them at pick 103.

If we took them at pick 24 and 25 nobody would know that they wouldn't have gone. So I'm not sure how we could have looked stupid.

The same way we don't know if Wright and White would have gone to anyone else.

No they would have just been players in the system like Nick Winmar or Newnes. No one would know for 4 years and then if they turned into stars you would have pretended they were always on your radar if they failed you would have bagged the recruiters for stuffing it all up.

It's funny how everyone wants Tom curren bumped onto the senior list but by your reckoning they are duds and an embarrassment to our club because they were overlooked by other clubs.

Yes, but as others have said, no one would have known. In fact, Spencer White was a chance to go undrafted as well. The fact is no club actually invited him to the draft combine, and he only got an extremely late call up to it, showing that very few clubs were interested.

Do you read what is written or do make it up in your head. I have said people wanted to get guys at 24 that didnt go at 103. I didnt say we shouldnt get them but it shows that many on here would have gone far to early because if we really wanted them they were still available at 77. What you are just about saying is Curren should gone at one because he may be upgraded next year. And yes we could have got our picks wrong at 24 and 25 and yes we will never know if other clubs would have taken them at that pick but we 100% do know no one took Garlett or that Sam bloke or that Rodda bloke. That we are sure of so like I said in retrospect we would have gone way to early if we had listened to the great judges on here.

Can you explain when I used embarrassment to the club? I will use it now. You are embarrassment to footy knowledge.
