Re: Round 1 side
Stanley would be ahead of kosi on that graphic above. Tom lee you would think start round 1. Pushing Siposs to the backline. Steven on ball with Ray replacing Jones.

Why?bergholt wrote:Yep, agreed. I think he'll have to fight hard for a spot but I'd be surprised if we didn't see a fair bit of him.gringo wrote:I'm going to put it out there that Jones will play at least 15 games next year.
The bloke has never been able to kick the ball and this year resorted to running around 360 in hope of giving it to someone when we were on strong counter attacks...
He disposal was bloody awful time and time again.

Re: Round 1 side
That would be fine for me although I would have Kosi playing instead of Lee or Hickey due to me plainly loving the guy and no real logic behind it.HitTheBoundary wrote:B: Simpkin DRAFT Dempster

My explanation in itself displays where Kosi is probably at anyway...

Gwilt takes Siposs' spot, Siposs takes Dals spot and Dal takes Montys spot, Monty to the wing Gilbert to the bench Dunnel gets the chop and Newnes as subPJ wrote:Backs Simpkin Draft pick Geary/Gwilt

Re: Round 1 side
Having watched the highlight packages of both Lee and Hickey, I will be surprised if they dont both walk straight into the Saints Senior side for Round One.
Re: Round 1 side
Not sure that Gwilt and Geary can both be in the backline together (it's pretty short now). Sipposs was impressive in the last 2 games 2012 across half back where we have few marking options Personally I'd like us to put some more of our real talent in the backline and less role players. In order to improve we need Newnes and Dunnel to have big years and push for regular selection.saintjake wrote:Gwilt takes Siposs' spot, Siposs takes Dals spot and Dal takes Montys spot, Monty to the wing Gilbert to the bench Dunnel gets the chop and Newnes as subPJ wrote:Backs Simpkin Draft pick Geary/Gwilt

So hard this far out...
Can't wait to see what Hickey does for Ben, still not convinced about playing all of Ben, Stanley, Hickey.
Gram leaving makes Geary locking down on a small even more significant, but we need some creative/pace to replace Jason...and wouldn't be surprised with the abundance of smalls lining up for forward positions if it's Terry.

To make any sort of improvement on 9th we need players like Hickey, Lee, Stanley, Ledger Newnes, Markworth & Ross to get games and develop quickly!

i agree, terry milera will probably need to get down back to hold his spot and does ok around the ground as is. He is pretty much a like for like gram replacement although Gram had his long kicking.

I actually think the way we need to improve is for guys like Big Mac, Siposs, Gears, Steven, Armo, Saad, Milera, Newnes, Simpkin etc. to take another step and for those next tier down to get into a similar position that the above are in now. Lee and Hickey just have to be handy additions rather than carry great hopes. It is unlikely to be any one from the core stars and the real outsiders that make us improve. The middle is where we can improve easily.

long kicking is only any good when it hits a target thoughgringo wrote:SainterK wrote:So hard this far out...
