These jiltees must think a lot more carefully before allowing themselves to fall in love. After all, once it happens, it is a requirement in law (the Busy Body Act of 1996) that it becomes the business of everybody else.
Oh perfectionist, nail, hammer, head. This just about sums it up. Jason Gram has effectively had his career terminated and been fined $350,000. And he still hasn't been convicted of anything.

When you start talking about text messages and flowers it all sounds pretty harmless doesn't it? And it is in the sense that no one has been physically injured or even threatened.

However it is serious; damn serious! There is a Court Order in place and that Order has been breached. I can tell you that from my own experience this is far from frivolous. A breech can bring penalties in the vicinity of $30,000 in fines and/or 2 years imprisonment. And in my own situation a breach can be something as simple as the person involved looking in my direction.

So bag the club if you want, but this is something they needed to take very seriously from a risk management perspective.

I have no issue with Jason Gram and will remember his career with the Saints fondly. But I would've been greatly disappointed with the club if they had've taken this issue any less seriously than they did.

I'm not disappointed he's gone....BUT...

It would have been better if he was delisted for becoming a spud as opposed to being sacked for being a stalker..

May not get another shot according to AFL stories i read today...

Oh Spacey, the thing that is most interesting about your post is that the police took out an ivo for a man. Was it against another male? From my professional and personal experience, the standard response to men wanting to take out IVO's is to, "grow some nuts!" The current system was developed for women, by women. I hope your ivo worked for you, because the last time I saw an ivo was in my capacity as a homicide squad detective. The ivo was stapled to the head of a mother who had been shot in the head by a jealous , estranged, ex-husband, in front of their 3 year old daughter.

My protection order was against my neighbour who was a woman. I had to apply to the Magistrates Court and it was granted. That's all I'll say about it.

Lets just say that this isn't the first time Jason has had this problem with a ex. Unfortunately this time he has gone to far and will end up in court and has cost him a spot on the saints list.

Don't want bonus points, and don't give a f*** if anyone thinks I care. We're talking about a highly paid professional athlete and grown man approaching his thirties - there is still such a thing as personal accountability. He's behaving like a love-struck 15 year old girl, and the masses on here are dabbing their eyes and saying "ooh the club REALLY need to do the right thing in supporting poor Jason".

Well poor Jason needs to pull his head out of his arse and start being responsible and accountable like all other adults. Someone on this thread raised the point that he actually hadn't been charged with anything - what the thell has that got to do with anything???? Would the average person need to be charged with a crime by police before they can be sacked from their job?? He has history, prior warnings, prior disciplinary actions imposed and was on his last chance. His girlfriend bailed. That's life. Deal with it like an adult. Does it hurt, yes, is it a difficult time, yes, does it justify behaving like a child and breaking the law - no!!!

Regardless, you have your head so far up your own arse that you must be delirious.

For some odd reason this thread seems to be the site for multiple feuds. Can we all just stick to the topic and cut the arguing ? It's quite pointless to be personally insulting.
