GOING BACKWARD TO GO FORWARD???
With some of our side getting a bit long in the tooth ( Roo, Lenny, Kosi, Milney and such)
and some of our 'up & comers ' still maybe a season or 2 away from reaching their potential .Is this going to be a "stuck in the middle yr" like when we still had Stewie Loewe & Burkey & co but Roo , Kosi & Dal and the others were all still a bit young ????
Will we just be treading water untill young players like Siposs, Stanley, Newnes ,Ross are ready to take the reigns??
Or if we hadve done some mature age recruiting like the Cats just did could we fill some holes to have another crack at it while Lenny and Roo are still running around??
In my opinion i think we are lacking some real talent in the 24 - 27 yr age bracket wich might see us hang around the 7th -10th spot on the ladder like Nth Melb did for a few yrs.
Id love to be proved wrong and have Stanley , Stevens, Geary and Armo all take another big step forward next yr and pull us up the ladder again

Reckon most of us would take yhe flag in 26 years option if it were guaranteed.
Only trouble for me would be the celebrations would nearly run into my 80th birthday!!

The oracle guarantees that St.Kilda will win the flag in the next 26 years.
"Too big, too strong, too whatever."

Think the professional clubs, Adelaide WC Collingwood Sydney are proving that you don't have to tread water, just keep improving the balance of your list, draft talent, trade for pieces!
Maybe this year?

If we could move out of that hell hole backwater Seaford base and back to somewhere decent like Moorabbin would help attract players.
Who earning 200K per annum would want to live close to Seaford?

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

prior to that we were at Moorabbin, maybe it was Moorabbin that "good" players didn't like.......
Seaford would be much better than GWS
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window
