Remember the article about all his regular visits to neurosurgeon.
In these days of overblown OHS Kosi might have a case if he took them to court about his head knocks and other injuries that occured in his early years and the "duty of care" that was owed to him in managing those injuries.

Yep......Kosi's gunna........He had a full pre-season this year but it stands to reason with his body struggling and slowing up and on the other side of 30 next season, with a full pre-season he's gunna tear it up.

LMFAO are you serious ,,,,,, Wilkes and Stanley are way in front of him , id love to know how many games you went to this year

Probably about 6 or 7, why?
Ye I am serious, you have a right to your own opinion and it will get more credit if you just make it without questioning another's right to theirs! I don't believe Wilkes has what it takes at this stage and Lee has not played senior footy yet, they will have to work or that spot!

Weird response. Stanley's best game was against Carlton playing in the ruck. Apart from that he never took more than seven marks or kicked more than two goals. I hope he's a good player one day but he isn't there yet. As for Wilkes, he only played ten games and in half of them he kicked zero goals. Jury still a long way out on whether he's any good.
I agree that Kosi isn't great, but saying that Wilkes and Stanley are way in front of him makes no sense.
Kosi is one of the few players we have that could be called a match winner. On his day. Unfortunately those days are getting fewer and farther between. He had a great game this year when we were getting carved up by Hawthorn. Our only player to stand up with his five goals.

Even Scott recognised that putting him into the ruck damaged other aspects of his game and meant he couldn't have the output that he had early on when he seemed on his way to a good season. I hope someone does challenge him for his spot but the idea that you can play two roles with no down side is naive. Dawes and Roughead went backwards when expected to shoulder ruck duties with their forward role. Kos is the at the wrong end of his career to be smashed into the ruck. Remember when North used to get Petrie to try to be the around the ground ruck - he was crap in both roles or injured. Made him a stay at home forward and he became a consistently good player.
If we are to improve as a team next year we need to find someone with more output than Kosi because I don't see Kosi improving his output next season. We saw Wilkes towards the end of the year who was a slight improvement on Kosi however not by much. I'm hoping Tom Lee can translate his WAFL form to the AFL cos he has the makings of a star and is still improving as a player. I see Kosi as depth, at this stage of his career.
If we want to go anywhere as a club Kosi shouldn't be in our first 22 next season.
Footy is a brutal and ruthless game, and unfortunately Kosi is no longer up to it.
All of those having a cry and trying to defend Kosi obviously are happy with us being a mediocre side.
Thanks for all you've done Kosi but it's time to move on so we can develop our young forwards such as Stanley and Lee who will be key players in our push towards our elusive second flag.
Talking to a few other supporters and continuing on with our new WA flavour at the saints I think Watters wants to structure up like West Coast Eagles.
Mac and Stanley in the Ruck (cox, nic nat)
Three big forwards
Kosi full forward (lynch)
Roo CHF (kennedy)
Lee forward pocket (darley)
Works for West Coast but is heavily dependant on Kosi being competitive in marking contests and his second efforts at ground level need to be just okay instead of non existent to avoid the run out of the back line. With what I think are better small forwards than west coast (Milne and saad) it could be hard to stop up forward as well as in the ruck.

Perhaps you are right saying he cant play two roles , ruck and forward.
You are a least half right. i would stop after saying he cant play.
Kosi can be a stay a home stay at homer. A specialist emergency.
Wilkes is good against ordinary sides - but struggles against good sides.
Having said that - lets see how hard he works over pre-season. he might come out next year built like an ox and take more grabs on the bigger/better defenders...
But realistically we need to be looking for a future with Lee at FF and Stanley at CHF.
I have NFI if this will ever happen - but as Saints fans we live in hope!

Ideal scenario is that Kosi plays well enough in 2013 to create a massive competition for spots.
I don't think it's a good scenario if he retires or plays at Sandy next year, it's like wishing our depth away.
(shrugs)
We are better off getting games into Stanley and Lee and even Wilkes ahead of Kosi even if Kosi is 10% better (no chance) than those at this point in their careers. If we are to improve then Kosi has to to improve (unlikely) or we should play players who 'potentially' will be an upgrade on Kosi, whether that is immediate or after they gain some experience. Kosi should remain depth, the same with Clint Jones. We need to do something different unless you are satisfied finishing outside the 8? Other teams will improve next year, hopefully we make some tough decisions, which may provide a risk however will at least benefit us in the long-run.
