GWS picks 1,2, and 3 on the table

Post: # 1274102Post borderbarry »

GWS picks 1,2, and 3 on the table. How about we get in to these.
Dal for pick 2 or 3. Then on trade that for 2 round one picks.
Or keep the pick and use it on one top player.

yep, lets give away an elite midfielder for a maybe. Ask Melbourne and Richmond how successful their early picks have been

our first round selections have been tremendous! There was Riewoldt and then, and then, .....

Was there on the outer wing as a youngster flying the flag in '66 - still loyal, still passionate!

I apologize for starting this thread. I had not seen the other thread and I thought it was worthwhile to bring to posters attention.

Funny how posters go crazy at the possibility of trading pick
13 and go 'meh' at pick two saying how speculative it is.
We are a team that finished ninth.
Our best players are ageing fast.
There is a very real possibility we are in decline.
The probability of getting an elite player at two is huge.
If we accept most of these things we should be trading ANYONE
for the picks. ANYONE.
We are not a club that has extra money in the cap and
We seem to be a club that guys like caddy don't want to
come to. We lost Goddard and survived yet if we traded him after
the grand finals we could still have a champ for the next decade.

I'm hoping we are competitive for another 2-3 years yet and then bottom out when GWS/SUNS are at their optimum because if we struggle now we'll struggle for the next 10 years.
